Primrose Daycare has been a complete letdown. Chronic staffing shortages leave the team overwhelmed…read moreand unable to adequately care for the children. My child has doctor-ordered dietary restrictions, but the staff repeatedly disregarded them, which is both frustrating and a serious safety concern. It's evident the staff lack proper training--whether it's adhering to medical guidelines or providing basic care--and their negligence reflects it. I've picked up my child several times with a full diaper of urine or feces, but the breaking point came when I found dried feces caked up and down their legs and even in their shoes. I was so furious I yelled at the staff--what parent wouldn't react to that level of neglect? Inspections have uncovered multiple non-compliance issues, including uncleanliness and violations in supervision, sanitation, health training, and following physical care plans. The latest report, showing nine violations, is available at https://childcaresearch.ohio.gov/inspections/2230027707. On the surface, Primrose might seem respectable, but don't be fooled--some of their positive reviews come from staff and leadership at this very location, which of course boosts their rating score. These ongoing issues tell the real story. I expected a safe, nurturing environment for my child, but Primrose falls far short. I strongly advise against trusting this daycare with your kids.

I went to try out the Green YMCA to see if I wanted to switch my gym membership to the YMCA…read moreinstead. I went up to the front desk and asked to use the "Day Pass" I was immediately met with a "you need a member with you" I explained I wanted to check it out and use the "day pass" that was advertised on their website. No apology just a "have you been here before?" I said no and she asked for my license. I explained it was in my car or I had a photo on my phone. she told me what website to go to and i was looking it up and she asked for my license again, i reiterated that it was in my car or i had a photo if that was fine. she just muttered "phone" I was finishing signing up for the pass and she kept asking if i was done yet, i explained i was still finishing up all my info and then she asked again, i was waiting for their internet to load. I handed over my phone once i was done with my license pulled up, she asks me for my last name. I tell her and she types it in. She accuses me of being there before. I tell her i haven't. She then says my sister's name saying i'd had a membership before...my sister has but i haven't ?? She's holding my license with my name on it and accuses me of being my sister. i explain that's my sister and not me. she then says my moms name ?? I AGAIN tell her my name THAT'S SHES HOLDING IN HER HAND. she then just finishes up whatever she's doing and looks at me. i take my phone back and that's it. No apology or explanation on how everything works. The whole time this is happening she's letting this little kid run around behind her desk stealing her toys out of her toy basket. Talking so nicely and polite to him and then turning to me and giving me the worst attitude. Idk what her problem was but after that I don't think i'm going to be going back for a full time membership.

I called ahead to confirm pool hours before making the trip, and was given information that turned…read moreout to be completely inaccurate upon arrival -- the pool was closed. That alone is a frustrating waste of time, but what happened next was far more disappointing. When I attempted to use a day pass for pool access -- an option clearly advertised on their own website -- staff refused to honor it. No explanation, no attempt to find a solution, no offer to sign me up for a membership that would have allowed access. Instead, I was told to "go to a public pool." Let that sink in. A paying customer, attempting to use a service the organization publicly advertises, was turned away and redirected to a public pool -- with zero effort made to retain my business or treat me with basic dignity. The experience felt deeply unwelcoming, and the manner in which I was dismissed did not feel coincidental. As a Black woman, being turned away without options, without alternatives, and without even the courtesy of a membership offer -- while others were not treated the same way -- speaks to a larger culture issue within this location. The YMCA markets itself as a community organization built on inclusion and access for all. This location's staff did not reflect those values on this day. Leadership needs to seriously examine how their staff engages with customers of color, retrain accordingly, and ensure that what is on their website is actually honored at the door. I have documented this experience and am following up through the appropriate channels. This is not the end of this conversation. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Just a little over two months ago my son started at Once Upon a Daycare (right behind Jersey's) in green and I cannot tell you the night and day difference I have seen with him. While atkas is only 2, he has shown many milestone delays, especially with speech, as well as showing several austisic traits. With all of that said-- Miss Rosie has such incredible knowledge with the extra help that he has needed and I have found myself able to breathe a little bit again. I cannot say great enough things about finding this place and Miss Rosie-- but if you're looking for an affordable, helpful, fun place for your kid to go I highly recommend Once Upon a Daycare!

We have been going to Once Upon a Daycare for a year now and have been thrilled with the results. It has worked for our family in so many ways. The early start and late end have helped our family maintain our working schedules and to not have to worry about the kids is a weight off my shoulders. Rosie has been able to provide My wife and I with quality, worry-free, cost effective daycare and preschool. I would highly recommend Once upon a Daycare to any one who would ask me.
