When choosing a place to settle your debts and retire in dignity.. This is a place that exudes your constitutional rights and universal rights to determination of your own thoughts; your own counsel, and your own decisions. I never got a chance to see the food, but it was one of the few places I have been to where dinner was served at 5 instead if 4:30 and where; they served coffee at 4:00 pm. I travel between Philadelphia and Florida frequently because I have family in both locations. About a month ago, my husband and I admitted my mother in law into this facility and we both could not be more pleased. We were a bit nervous placing her into a facility so far from our home, but my parents live in the area as well so we frequently visit. The first thing that grasped my attention is that the facility is very clean. I am almost OCD about cleanliness, so this is a matter of utmost importance to me. Secondly, the place is beautiful! Its very spacious and nicely decorated. My mother in law (although not pleased to be placed in a living facility) is happy with the accommodation. She said that the other people living there are friendly, there are activities daily, but her favorite thing is sitting in there outdoor space in the heart of their facility. My husband feels guilty about placing his mother there so he calls Vizcaya frequently (I would say obsessively), the staff is very good about keeping him up to date and informed, and they are good about answering his questions. Lastly, I find it to be a pleasant visit when I arrive. That staff already know me and treat me very kindly. It feels very home like and people seem to enjoy it there. Although far from me, I feel confident that my husband and I have made the right choice. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially if it means my mother in law having more people to socialize with it!

She was totally professional, polite and gave me really good information, which based upon her near 20 years of experience at John Knox Village, she was more than able to do. John Knox Village is huge in size, covering some 70 acres but it's not just some other big complex. Not at all. With its beautiful and lush setting along with a near endless list of amenities, it's actually a piece of tropical paradise. I couldn't have been more impressed with good health care offerings, with everything from independent living to assisted to full care all covered under a life contract. Also. their housing with their Garden Villas, Heritage, Village and Cassels towers with two or single bedroom (maybe more) designs. In all you really have to actually see it to know it. But without any equivocation I can say for what it is, it's the best around that I know about.

We've just made a decision to move to Park Summit. It's a little west but we feel very comfortable there. They have many apartment floor plans, a little younger crowd, interesting people. Each facility really does have its own feel! We're going to finalize tomorrow and start a month of packing....and moving to the next phase of our life. All the Five Stars are lovely, most newly renovated, well run by a congenial, experienced staff.

All feedback suggested that Mom was not in any condition to go back to her condo alone. What to do?? It just so happened that Stacey had recently found a place for my uncle that suited his needs, and relieved my aunt of the full responsibility for his care. I had her number and called in a panic. Not only did she get a 48-hour extension on the rehab release, but found a nice facility that offered independent and assisted living, the latter of which my mom needed. Stacey walked me through the steps and connected me with people I needed to deal with to process paperwork and finances, rent furniture until I could get some of my mom's stuff over there, and maintain contact with regular visits until I could get out to help out face-to-face. Even with help, this process was overwhelming and a bit traumatic for all concerned. I can't imagine where I would have started "shopping" for a place where I'd know my mom would be safe and cared for. After a brief meeting with my mom (and a very short conversation about finances), Stacey immediately found a place that has been an excellent match for my mom's needs and tastes. I absolutely recommend her services. She knows what's available and how to match people with the resources that will best suit their needs. Both my mom and I would have been absolutely sunk without her invaluable assistance.

Alex then immediately gave us three excellent suggestions for visiting and accompanying us on the tours. He then assisted personally with the transition. After the transition he helped in finding an Adult Daily Living agency to provide the daily care. Overall our family would strongly recommend Alex for his personal experience and excellent resources.

They have activities and entertainment that are of the highest standards but their was one person in particular that I will always cherish. A driver at the Courtyard named Lisa Bryant is a special person caring about and taking to heart the interest of all their residents. All I can tell you is that I researched many communities and none compare.
