I saw her regularly for adjustments to treat pregnancy aches and ensure proper pelvic alignment before birth. She is also extremely knowledgeable about birth preparation and evidence-based information and practices. She pointed me to some great resources that helped me (in my opinion) have a successful VBAC. Dr. Emma is amazing. I started seeing her for my first pregnancy for prenatal chiropractic care and now I am onto my second pregnancy. Dr. Emma is highly knowledgeable and gave me crucial tips and guidance for my husband and I to support us through the delivery. Dr. Emma does so much more than adjust my back, but also helps with round ligament pain, provides stretches and other things that can help alleviate pain, and has so many resources for pregnancy and prenatal classes. Overall, Dr. Emma is very thorough, caring, and an incredible human. I also had a couple of visits for my baby with her, where she was gentle and assessed for tongue tie. I've seen chiropractors for many years, and work in healthcare (high standards!), and Dr Emma has been the best! She cared for me throughout my second pregnancy, and even did a home visit at week 3 postpartum (I wish I had her for my first!). She also cared for my new infant with simple and gentle work plus craniosacral. My daughter had been constipated for a few days and some issues nursing. Dr Emma reduced the nursing issues significantly and my daughter pooped within 10 min of leaving our visit. Her skill set is wide but thorough, and I love her longer visits compared to most chiropractors. She actually took the time to teach me so much about my body. Dr. Emma was my chiropractor during a well needed time. Both my wife and I were in dire need of care. My wife's shoulder had been her issue since high school (early 2000's) and when she met Dr. Emma, for the first time she finally felt relief!! As for myself, I could never find a chiropractor who could care for me as much as she did. I always ended up getting headaches after an adjustment. I love Dr. Emma! I began to see Dr. Emma when I was about 6 months pregnant. From the front office to Dr.Emma's care, everything was exceptional! I went in bc I was experiencing lower back pain. I am so glad I went in, after our first session the lower back pain decreased substantially and by a couple more sessions the pain was gone completely. I began seeing Dr. Emma during my first pregnancy and immediately loved her. I've been adjusted since my early teenage years and I felt she gave the best adjustments I'd ever had. When I found out I was pregnant I did a lot of research on how to have a good and healthy pregnancy and I came across prenatal chiropractic therapy. I kept telling myself to inquire but kept procrastinating and as I got further along in my pregnancy, I was developing pelvis, back, and neck pain. I highly recommend Dr Eskilson (Dr Emma) for pregnant and postpartum mamas. Around 36 weeks of my pregnancy I found out baby was transverse. I decided to do spinning babies inversions and also to see a chiropractor for the first time. Dr Emma is Webster technique certified so she knows exactly how to adjust a pregnant woman safely and effectively. After a few sessions I found out baby was head down but I continued to see her for relief from back and rib pain caused by my growing baby. Dr Emma is incredibly knowledgeable and also gentle and kind and effective. She always shared some new tip or technique she had learned regarding birthing interventions, positions, etc. She didn't push any of her beliefs but just openly listened and shared what she had learned that was in alignment with my goals. Fast forward a few weeks and I was induced and had a very traumatic labor and delivery. My back and spine were full of tension and pain from pushing on my back and all the stress of being induced. She actually made a house visit! Just a few days postpartum. She brought her table, clean linens, was masked, had changed her clothes, and brought gifts for me and the baby. She also checked out my baby and did some minor adjustments. I was in so much pain and there was no way I could go to her office so quickly after delivering. Dr Emma works out of Life Choice Chiropractic. She is amazing. I had a stiff neck and sharp pain into my right shoulder and she was able to get me in within a day of my call. The office is nice, calm, and super clean. Given we are in the middle of a pandemic, I like how clear the staff was with instructions. I love me some adjustments, but I am one of those flexy bendy people who is hard to adjust. Dr Emma is tall, kind, graceful, and skillful like a ninja. Don't let her slim figure fool you, she bent me like a pretzel and got my neck to adjust like a bag of popcorn. I had instant relief! I could turn my neck to the right and not have stabbing pains in my neck and shoulder. After telling her this, she explained that I still had to do my exercises or all that relief would be for nothing. I go back tomorrow for a follow-up.
