An eclectic selection of 60s hits played comfortably in the background. Eddie, the busmen, would materialize before and after every course, bringing plates and silverware and whisking used ones away. We had the Oysters Rockefeller and the meatballs as appetizers and the Wagyu rib eye and the Chilean sea bass as entrees. They were prepared to absolute perfection! No need to drive to Chicago with a venue like this only 5 minutes away. The floor manager also came over to check on our progress and was there to bid a fond farewell as we left! I'm trying to go back tomorrow, quite frankly. Looking forward to trying a couple of other menu items. Ten stars! Five aren't good enough.

She proceeded to tell him that we had to buy drinks in order to play pool because she didn't want the place to turn into a "pool hall." Keep in mind the place is very small and there are four pool tables. We complied. I ordered a Sprite, which is not alcoholic. However, at that point the lady behind the bar said she needed to see my ID because it was required in all bars. She proceeded to take my ID and write something down on a sheet of paper. My date and I are both black and everyone in the bar appeared Caucasian. The lady behind the bar was very unwelcoming. And since she couldn't directly say this is a whites-only bar she did her best to make us feel uncomfortable. So we decided not to spend our money there.
