Dumpy, small overpriced apartments. Older appliances, cracked tiles in halls, sloppy looking vynal plank flooring and unappealing outdoor areas. No amenities. Overall pretty disappointing showing. I have been here 6 years and suddenly found out I'm paying more than my neighbors and i have a middle unit. They raised my rent 300 bucks last year and 200 bucks this year and when i talk to my neighbors their increase was only 100 bucks a year even for a corner unit. Don't trust the Management here at all they smile and lie all the time,. Nice way to treat a combat veteran. read more

All of these reviews on greenbrier are absolutely accurate. They call themselves "luxury apartments" and it is far from luxury. I've had better experiences living in the hood than I have had here. My roommate and I live in the apartments. I can't speak for the townhouses but the apartments are awful. $1700/month for a small apartment, absolutely filthy building/hallways/elevators. Food and dried up liquid is spilled everywhere and never cleaned up. There are a bunch of nips on the ceiling of the elevators. Tile from the ceiling has fallen down and not repaired. Tile on the floor is coming up. The grout throughout the tile floor in our apt crumbles every day. The ceiling in our bathroom is crumbling and falling apart. There is no assigned parking so if you work and get home after 10pm good luck parking anywhere. Management is the absolute worse I've ever dealt with. We sent 4 emails and a million text messages about severe problems with a neighbor who tried to bang our door down and never received any response. The Management has straight said he doesn't care. The parking lots were a sheet of ice, I told maintenance as myself and other tenants almost fell due to no salt. They never put any down or cared. They plow your vehicle with mounds of snow, so if it snows you can't leave or have to shovel for hours. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Can't wait for our lease to end! read more

A lot has been said about communication here at Greenbrier and its certainly worth noting as it easily the worst part of living here. Reviewing neighbors is probably for another website for those that avoid confrontation, but some one let me borrow their shovel recently and saved me a lot of time that I was able to use in shoveling other spots while he did the same. Really great "faith in humanity" moment. I wish the same hospitality could be said about management. There is probably a dozen ways they could have handled a recent cigarette smoking dilema that was first addressed in a tenant wide email back in June of 2016. Issues will come up and disagreements will happen as in all apartments, but telling your tenants different stories makes everything worse. Personally, I was robbed in an apartment on Gesler street in Providence. That landlord never changed the locks after the last tenants left; yet they did not miss a beat on communicating with my roommates and I. I wouldn't trust any communication from our management at this point given their proven ability to flip flop at a whim. All that being said, the building is nice, the neighbors are friendly, and the location is hard to beat. I doubt Greenbrier management reads these reviews, but I would suggest open and fluent communication. With the still expanding community here it would make sense to employ 1 or 2 communication staff somewhere on the property to avoid turning "normal" issues into a catastrophe. read more

Good luck reaching anyone after you move out. It's been two months for me, and I have not heard anything about my security deposit. I have emailed, called, and written letters....no response. This place is very poorly managed. The apartments themselves are very nice on the inside however the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The parking is a mess, no assigned spots and you can end up having to park on the opposite side of your unit. The heat and hot water go off at random times leaving you to take a cold shower before going to work. You can only use your heat and AC when someone feels like turning it on for the season which is always late. So you're either sweating it out or freezing. If you need maintenance they ignore your phone calls, voicemails and won't return your phone calls. Overall, way too expensive for what you get. read more

This is no luxury apartments! The maintenance is MIA and when you do reach him he hangs up on you when he doesn't want to deal with the issues! The parking is awful! No central air because its been down since the end of may! Forget about heat being turned on until late October early November! Snow plowing is a joke walk ways never shoveled or improperly shoveled! Dogs off leashes attacking other dogs! So when you consider moving here think twice they have no problems telling you your rent is late by a day! But cant tell yoy why there is no central air! They will rent to rif rafs! Garbage bins always full of furniture real pleasant to look at that out your windows! This is a money hungry owner that doesn't care about providing luxury!! read more

Apt was filthy when moving in, garbage overflows ,glass on grounds, poor snow removal- stairs& walkways not shoveled .Asked for pet free bldg- states so on lease- 2 dogs above me- no one cleans after them & are allowed to roam off leashes. read more

I met David today who is a a$$hole. He showed me a 3 bedroom townhouse that me and my fiancé was interested in renting until our new house in Rehoboth was built. The place was a disaster but he said it would be ready in May and that is when I needed it. It checked off a lot of the boxes we were looking for. 3 bedroom a garage to store a lot of our stuff and Enough space for us and our 8 month old son. Before reading all these reviews I told him I would take it. He said just text him my email and he would send over the paperwork. I then told him I have two emotional support dogs with doctors letters and they are certified. Later that night I never got a email so I texted him again and he told me a couple after me took it. I said how is that possible when I told you I wanted it. Mind you not to many people are going to look at apartments with this whole covis 19 situation. He totally discriminated me because of my service dogs. I told him he will be hearing from my attorney. This guy is so unprofessional and a piece of shit. The place looks nice but after reading all the complaints and my experience stay away. read more

The management to this place is the worst. I live in the apartment end of Greenbrier and it has been nothing but 4 months of the worst living. Moved in in Jan. and instantly had problems. Heat only went on here and there and when I wanted it at 65 it would go up to 80 unless you shut it off. The garbage disposal broke with in 2 days. The water coming from my bathroom faucet smells like death. Parking outside is a disaster, come home late and bob and weave through a tiny entrance because everyone just parks where they want. They drew fire lanes and they aren't even legally done. It is now June and the AC is still not on... You think calling would help? Not at all everyone either says they are not responsible or they tell you to contact someone else. Please respect this site, this is what it is for... Do not move in here, you will not be happy and I do not want others wasting hard earned money on this horrible place. read more

Notice that most of the reviews were outdated as of two or more years. With that being said let me put this in perspective. The reviews still stand as noted. In fact, most of what's been said hasn't changed. The walls are extremely thin. So thin to the point you can hear full conversations, music to the lyric, Movies as if you were watching them. Pluming ended up seeping through the floor from the tenants above us creating a huge mold issue. * See Photo * Heating and AC are turned on at their discretion per season not as advertised on website. When it snows, they plow the street but not parking spots. Trying to park is a first come first serve basis. Not to also forget that tenants feel they can park wherever they'd like such as fire lanes, sidewalks, in front of fire hydrants, and handicapped spots. There is constant trash on the grounds that is not cleaned up. There are junk vehicles parked un-managed making it look like a personal garage or junk yard. Maintenance is by FAR the most disrespectful and worse I've ever seen. Moved in without screens, requested every month for a year, ended up moving out still without screens. They gave me nothing but excuses every time I called and reported the issue/issues. The Maintenance crew themselves are uncleanly to the point I had to light candles after they left it smelt so badly. Spiders, Ant's, and beetles are common within the apartment because they do not spray the grounds for pests. They do not clean drier vents sufficiently enough which could result in a fire. Upon moving in they said the place would be cleaned and it was by far anything but clean. I regularly had kids ringing my door bell, banging on my door and windows ( lived on the bottom floor ). I am grateful I had somewhere I could call home but for $1500K or more a month I HIGHLY suggest you seek other opportunities. read more
