The bakery…read moreon St James Street in Burnley sells a decent range of pasties and the most delicious cakes as well as a soup of the day and sandwiches etc. It's not the healthiest of places to stop by but Oddies provides a quick, cheap and tasty snack or meal. The store only offers takeaway and although the queues can be big, service is usually quick. Oddies sell the usual staples you'd expect to find in a Greggs store or similar but also a range of more unique pasties and pastries to satisfy your tastebuds as well as your belly!

The meat pies are to die for one, definitely one of the best around. All their product are reasonably priced and all the foods are very tasty. There are quite a few staff working behind the counter so you don't normally have to wait long to be served. The staff are also very happy and friendly often giving away free pieces of cake with you order. It is a fantastic place to pop in to for your dinner on your lunch hour. Highly recommend.

Although Bolton cente has a whopping four branches of Greenhalghs this patricular branch is one of the two smaller ones yet still has a decent window display of many mouthwatering cakes etc and a great selection of goods inside. Sandwiches are made to order from fresh bread made in their own bakery (in Leigh). This branch has recently had a refit and now has a small coffee area with chairs and tables but most people still take away. I can highly recommend the Aussie pies which have a turkey or chicken filling with gravy and garden peas and a mashed potato topping. Sounds very odd, I know, but is really tasty. Cakes are fantastic but pricey. Special occasion cakes can be ordered for collection and they do some really lovely designs. There is no parking outside and it's safest to park behind the adjacent pub and cross the road as if you park opposite The Parade shops and don't visit one of them, you may be clamped.
