Yeah, the hourly rate after the first two hours adds up quick (ended up paying around ₱360), but honestly for the convenience of being right in Salcedo Village and not having to circle forever looking for a spot, it was worth every peso. Clean, organized, and open-air so no weird basement vibes. Will definitely park here again when I need to be in the area all day. 5 stars for reliability and peace of mind.

Indeed, the problem is not on the availability of parking slots, but rather on finding one that's reasonably priced. Anyway, one popular parking lot in the area is Paseo Center Parking. This is an open-space lot but you can be assured that your vehicle will be safe because security is pretty strict. Roving guards are present all the time. The parking lot is also open every day. The only downside to this place is its rates. If you park here on a Sunday, you only pay a flat rate of PHP 50.00. But from Mondays to Saturdays, rate for the first two hours is PHP 40.00. This is fair if you just stay within the allotted time. But staying longer than two hours could cost you an arm and a leg because you'll be charged an additional PHP 40.00 for every succeeding hour and a fraction thereof. One Saturday, my brother parked there for around nine hours and he had to pay more than PHP 300.00!

I like being able to buy the odd-forgotten ingredient without having to contend with parking and long lines at the mall. I did notice that Puregold's prices are a bit more expensive than other big chain supermarkets - for instance, a liter of fresh milk is about a peso more expensive here compared to Cherry Foodarama --- but there are days when you are willing to pay a few pesos more in exchange for convenience. I like that Puregold groceries are often much less crowded compared to others, especially if you go in the mornings or noon on a weekday. On these occasions, it's heaven to be able to browse the shelves at your leisure without having to maneuver around other carts. Best of all, no frustratingly long queues at the cashier On any given day, you will find a decent selection of meats and fruits. They also have a stand of Max's Bakeshop goodies --- perfect for when you are just craving for their caramel bars or chocolate cookies.

Restaurant row was more inviting with more sit down choices and better design. Security upon entrance was still the same. Large bags were inspected upon entry. The tiangge section (Shoppsville side) was untouched with rows and rows of stalls selling pearls, clothing, suitcases, shoes and more. Everything here can be haggled over. I was on the search for some local food items but the stall I sought out was closed for some reason. The chapel in the mall was still something unique to see but quite convenient to attend mass. The indoor garden across the way was updated and more inviting than I remember with more seating. Parking here has always been and will likely still be a challenge. Security guards still direct traffic but drop off areas by the mall entrances do get backed up frequently. Definitely enjoyed the shopping experience more than before.

No amount of going round and round the parking lot will make a slot suddenly free up for you. But there is one parking lot in the area that never gets full and which people always ignore or just simply forget about. And that is the parking garage of the 6750 office tower. It's entrance is actually quite hidden. It's at the back, right beside Starbucks 6750, across the Rizal Exit of Shangri-la Hotel. No fail, there is always a lot of room to park your car in here, regardless of the holiday or crazy mall sale.

I would take the LRT from Katipunan all the way to Legarda station, which is just before the last stop Recto. Here was where a lot of people got off, because here was where you could get to a lot of different universities. Most of the people who get off are Thomasians, I just have to follow their lead to get to UST. The station itself is clean enough, but given the sheer volume of people who go here and buy tickets regularly, you'd think more cashiers would be open. Also, it can be a bit of a squeeze to fit into the LRT here, because of the multitude of students trying to go home at night. Still, I like the station enough and I don't hesitate to take the LRT to Cubao or another stop to avoid having to ride a jeep and brave the pollution.

Though with the introduction of mobile based apps such as Uber, Grab, Angkas etc., I actually avoided riding the LRT/MRT due to the fact that it SOMETIMES caused me great discomfort and utterly made me depressed like why did I even bother riding this thing? It's sometimes a blessing or a curse, depending on the day! I completely dread the rush hour, honestly. I remember it takes about five trains just to get inside in Doroteo Jose station. Alas, this has been part of my life and maybe I just need to accept the fact that the LRT/MRT is there when I actually don't want to ride home with an Uber or a Grab.

When I first got to the Philippines, this was the mall closest to me. I love that it's not a giant…read moremall, plus there's this fancy bathroom that you pay 10 pesos for that I first thought was absolutely hilarious. I had never seen something like this in the US. But that was before I found out about the fancy toilets they have in the bathroom. You won't find those in the free bathroom. Plus, there's a great resting area in the pay lounge, as they call it. I love the Daiso store in this mall as well. It is probably the best stocked out of all of them. I am so impressed by the security in the malls in the Philippines. I never feel unsafe in any of them. The area where Robinsons Magnolia is located isn't the safest, but the mall itself is quite safe. My beloved and I really enjoy hanging out in this mall when we're in Quezon city. We love the Bench/Fix salon there, so we're there often. I thought the Christmas decor in this mall was really cute. The only thing I could quibble about is that there isn't a lot of places to sit outside of the pay lounge or the food court. Would be nice if there were some more benches.

The station is the 8th station for trains heading to Santolan Station and the 4th station for trains heading to Recto Station. The station is named Araneta Center-Cubao because it is connected to one of the most recognizable and popular landmarks for events that happen in Manila: Araneta Center Complex. Around Araneta Center are shopping malls like Gateway Mall (connected to Araneta), Ali Mall (said to made because of Muhammad Ali after 'Thrilla in Manila' happened), Shopwise, and Farmers Plaza. Of course, the main reason people go here is for Smart Araneta Coliseum. Ever since I was in college, this was were I would be for UAAP basketball games and concerts! Taking the MRT/LRT to Araneta Center was the fastest and most convenient way to get to these events. Plus, you didn't have to worry about traffic and parking. Since the location is right in the middle of Cubao area, Araneta Center-Cubao station is transportation depot for buses, taxis, and jeepneys. As with all MRT/LRT Stations, try not to go during the peak, rush hour time (yes, I know, peak hours here are ALL hours!). Also, be more aware of your surroundings and the stuff you are bringing with you. Better to be safe than sorry!

As my pictures show there are several choices of food in this area. But none really jumped out at me. I chose to have the grilled marlin in spicy sauce with vegetables and rice. The fish is pregrilled and sitting out there. When ordered, they reheat the fish and pour the sauce over it. Their vegetables is from a frozen mixed vegetable bag. The dish was non appetizing and had a bland taste. Problem here is that the food here lacks freshness, flavor and taste.

It's as if they couldn't care less about their customers, especially the younger ones. I'm 16, and apparently, that means I'm not allowed in the mall without a guardian--on a weekend! How many times do people have to complain about the unprofessional behavior of the guards before something changes? The security staff act like they're on a power trip, treating teenagers like criminals just for showing up. News flash: we're not asking for much--just basic respect and fair treatment. It's 2024, and this mall still hasn't figured out how to treat its customers properly. If management can't be bothered to fix their security issues despite countless complaints, maybe they should rethink if they even deserve their customers at all
