You cannot leave unless you have an outside advocate. Drugs were being smuggled into the units Clean towels, pillows, soap, shampoo, etc. are not available No security and staff is not allowed restrain violent patients Daily activities (other than meals & smoke breaks) were watching TV and doing kids' coloring pages Former maximum security prisoners are in the same unit as drug, alcohol, and mental patients. Profanity, conflicts, negativity and talk of drugs were a daily part of life. Patient 1: Spent over 25 years in a maximum security prison. Talked of how to smuggle drugs into prison and into Blackberry. Patient 2: Taught us how to scam Walmart out of carts full of groceries using a hotel key card. Patient 3: Was obviously over-medicated. Walked around aimlessly in their underwear trying to start conflicts. Tried to get into other patients rooms in the middle of the night. Extremely stressful, negative experience. Would NOT recommend to anyone. The only positive comment I can make is that the nursing staff was very compassionate and caring.

House keeping, dietary, and recreation departments are very good. the psysciatrist are only interested in changing you meds and you get one minure and 40 seconds per visit. We timed them. I saw two people who had to go to the hospital because of medication changes. There is no sense of urgency in any request. I put a request in the box for the patient advocate and it was not picked up for 5 days. Then it took 2 more for action I was never given an ID bracelet and it was 3 weeks into my stay and they were going to take a non fasting sample. I refused. one nurse mixed up my meds but I caught it. not a pleasant experience!!!

Then 1 week later I was evaluated my a Physical Therapist ( to get my baseline). I was told a PT assistant will do therapy with me next week. The PT assistant said he received an email that he needed to cancel and will reschedule next week. The following week the physical therapist came to my house and said " I'm here to sign you out". I told her I never had ANY therapy. She did end up giving me about 15 minutes of therapy before she left. Everyone was very nice and professional. But the company just wasted my time and billed insurance for therapy I never received. It's a good thing that I'm pretty independent. I do not recommend at all.

Miguel was an amazing help to me. He gave me advice and I was in and out SO fast. I also must mention Brandy (my flobotonist(?)) was also over the top friendly and so warm and welcoming. After I filed a complaint, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued a 48-page Statement of Deficiencies citing failures including not following physician orders and medication-related deficiencies. These findings are public record. During those 41 days there were three Executive Directors (DJ, Tammy, and Heather). The Head of Maintenance (Luis) also left. When I moved my parents out, I confirmed a zero balance. Our sales agent had represented one free month. After move-out, Katherine Schachter (Regional Director of Operations) and Mark McBride (Chief Operating Officer) provided written assurances regarding credits and refunds. However, full billing statements were not provided until February 26, 2026 -- five months later -- After my parents had already moved out, we received two phone calls delivering the same recorded message from Heather (Executive Director) identifying by first and last name an Independent Living resident who had died by suicide. I reported this as a potential privacy concern. Based on our documented experience, I do not recommend HarborChase of Dr. Phillips Assisted Living. The response to my post is to contact HarborChase. No I gave you 5 months to correct your mistakes. Give my parents their money back!! You violated both the medical and financial part of the contract!

This location is absolutely beautiful and the staff is very kind and takes great care of her. She receives physical, occupational and speech therapy multiple times per week. She is also provided meals 3 times per day, which are designed to fit her dietary needs as prescribed by her individual needs as she progresses through her medical plan. Family and friends are encouraged to visit and take part in the healing process. All rooms in this facility are single as well, as to provide individual care and privacy. While my mom is ready to come she knows she is getting the care she needs to prepare her to get there.

Also, I am so glad there is another location nearby when the Epcot location is busy.

The workers were nice some of the time and other times they had attitudes. They also dismissed the wishes of the family. When asked for changes for who can make medical decisions for the patient, they ignored the family even though the family followed the directions given by the center. Hope this is not a regular occurrence, but if it is, this is problematic.
