I can't recommend this place enough. I've had my dog Dutchess for over 6 years. She was rescued from a terrible abuse situation and, because of her trauma, was a very difficult dog. She was very dog aggressive, reactive in new situations, and had severe separation anxiety to the point where I could not leave her in the care of anyone else. For years, I had given up hope on her ever having a normal life. I took her to Keystone one day when an unexpected business tripped forced me to seek alternative options for care. I was afraid that they wouldn't accept her because of her outwardly aggressive behavior but the staff was very well trained in dog handling and behavior and understood her actions as demonstrations of fear. They worked to calm her down (and reassure me) until she could safely be boarded. Over the last seven months, I worked with Keystone staff and their trainers to improve Dutchess' behavior. She's gone from being a dog that I had to isolate from the rest of the world in fear of her aggressive behavior to being well integrated in their daycare and playing well with other dogs. They have literally helped me transform this dog and open her world up to new people, friends, and activities. Her life and my life are better for the patience, understanding, and expertise they have offered us (ALL of which has been crazy affordable). I've heard a rumor about their facility that questions their treatment of dogs. That rumor is preposterous! I have absolutely no doubt that every dog that comes through their doors is treated with love and care and respect. I know this because my dog, who was difficult in every way possible, has been loved on constantly by staff. They have gotten to know her as individual and make sure to put her in situations that make her comfortable. Every time I pick up my dog from daycare, the staff talks to me for no less than 10 minutes and checks in on her progress, gives me recommendations based on their observations, and dotes on her. This place has been designed to understand and care about dogs, especially the more complex ones who need extra love. If you're considering bringing your dog here, do it. I can't say enough things about how wonderful Keystone K9 and their staff have been. We take our puppy (rambunctious six month old pit/catahoula mix) there at least once a week to socialize and so I can sleep during the day when I work nights. Ox loves it! He practically pulls us in the door because he's so excited to see his puppy and human friends. All of the staff seems as excited to see him as he is to see them. When we pick him up at the end of the day he is one tired and snuggly pup. He expends so much energy playing that when he gets home we find that he's not getting into everything he shouldn't the moment our back is turned. Recently we ran into trouble where we were out of town for the weekend and the person who was watching him was unable to handle it. We were about to cut our trip short and drive home when I decided to call Keystone K9. They were able to board him on short notice for a night and really save us. We found Josh to have really gone out of his way to accommodate us and it is greatly appreciated. We won't take Ox anywhere else for as long as we live in the Harrisburg area. read more

My dog loves Keystone K9! Every time he knows we are going, he gets sooo excited! He comes home exhausted at the end of the day and is so calm and relaxed after his day of play. You can tell how much the owner and staff LOVE animals! They don't "crate and rotate" like other daycares. The dogs spend the majority of the day playing, playing, playing. I adopted my dog a year ago, and he had a lot of anxiety. I started taking him to KK9 after I had him for 3 months and he immediately started to flourish. Even though I've been working from home, I still take him twice a week! Their prices are better than anywhere else in the area! Not to mention the convenience of adding on a bath/grooming/nails/teeth brushing/etc! Oh, and training, too. You can do it all right there if you want to! They also hold special events, like pictures with Santa and a special New Year's Eve sleepover with ice cream. Best of all, they go above and beyond to serve the community, like collecting donations/supplies for shelters, and helping first responders! I have total faith and trust in Keystone K9! read more

We love Keystone K9 and I can't say enough good things about them. We toured a couple places when deciding where to take our golden retriever puppy. We liked their location and that they would have a separate place for our puppy to play with other puppies until she was bigger and comfortable to play with the bigger dogs. Fast forward a few months - our dog goes crazy when we pull in the lot and cannot wait to get into the building. It's her second home and Josh and all the wonderful people there are her second family. We take her 3 days a week because she likes it so much and it makes her happy. We are working from home with Covid and so don't necessarily need to take her in - but we love how socialized she is now with dogs, plus we love that she comes home so worn out and relaxed. An extra bonus is that they have onsite groomingin case she needs a bath or nails trimmed. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a trusted place to take your pet! read more

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Keystone K-9!! My four month old puppy, Cooper, has the best time there! He went to daycare there for about a month before we moved back to Virginia. He would get so excited every time I said we were going to daycare and wouldn't want to leave at the end of the day! When we moved I found Coop a daycare near home and he definitely has not loved it as much. I brought Cooper back to Keystone K-9 the other day because I was in the area and the minute he realized where he was he started barking and wagging his tail and trying to jump out of the car! They clearly do a great job and the dogs have so much fun! The staff are incredibly kind and greet every dog by name at drop-off and seem sad to say goodbye at pick-up. If you're looking for a place that loves dogs and truly cares about them, then Keystone K-9 is the place for you. We'll be back for a visit anytime we're in the area! read more

I liked Keystone K9, but I really love Greenlin Pet Resorts. Their Manager Dez is awesome! She really cares about the dogs and what their pet parents want. In addition, Dez has surrounded herself by an amazing staff too. Her Assistant Manager Hannah makes sure that all the pets are healthy and up to date on their vaccines. She also gives the dogs lots of love. The entire staff is trained in pet First Aid and Laura is a former Vet Tech who works with you if your pet is on medicine. Plus, the staff, Jared, Vivian, Abby, et al including their Weekend Manager Janelle are all wonderful with the pets! I highly recommend them! read more

Dexter, DeeDee and Cricket just love Keystone K9 for daycare and boarding. When we arrive they charge the door and don't look back. We have also attended several training classes and had the dogs participate in the Agility training with Ian (it was so fun to see them go through the course on video). Exercise is an essential part of a dogs day for their physical and mental well being. Daycare provides a fantastic way to get them exercise and socialization. I brought my 3 dogs for daycare because the ratings were so good. I didn't register online and that was a mistake. I filled out paperwork as I dropped them off. A few hours later I got a call saying that they only accepted dogs with PA addresses and PA vets. They didn't catch that at checkin. They said I could come get them but there was no rush. We cut our day at Hershey a little short but didn't stress. When we got there l, the staff was so cool and my dogs looked like happy campers. I wish I was a PA resident so I could come back. I had a medical emergency that made me go to the emergency room in town and being an over the road truck driver it's sometimes tankful and very stressful having your four legged best friend along for the ride . I've been taking my dog to Keystone K9 every weekday since I moved to the Harrisburg area, and he absolutely loves it! At first, he was very nervous in a new place, but by Day 2 he ran right into the building without even looking back! They are absolutely amazing and have taken great care of our dog Chip, who is a high maintenance rescue with a big bark :) Their day care program is awesome and gives me peace of mind while I am in the office that chip isn't just at home alone in his crate and they took great care of him any time we are on vacation. Great place! The staff is excellent, very friendly and attentive. When I first took Baxter into daycare he was shy and didn't want to play with the other dogs. The staff was able to work with him and slowly introduce him to the other dogs. Now he loves going to daycare and is excited when he gets dropped off! I know he is in good hands. I work from home. I heard about KK9 via word of mouth from two nurses who take their dogs there. Now, a couple years later, Boone and I couldn't live without KK9. This is a dog who eats rotisserie chicken and hamburger and sleeps in my bed. At KK9, it's all about the caring, knowledgable people. When Boone is there I can focus on my work knowing he is taken care of like family. There are dog day cares closer to my house, but KK9 is worth the drive. read more

This place is heaven sent! My three dogs go here to run off all their extra energy and man do they come home tired. Josh is a great owner and knows all the dogs names and really cares about them. Marley our miniature poodle who has a heart murmur was at Greenlin off route 39 near Hummelstown. He was well taken care of and made friends named Jake and Freddie. They made sure he got rest periods and was not over tired. When we ask if he wants to go to doggie daycare he is very excited! Staff are great with the dogs. read more
