My dentist Dr.Lum is always very patient and professional - I have A LOT of anxiety when it comes to the dentist after having multiple painful experiences elsewhere, and will even get teary during a cleaning. Dr.Lum always makes a point to check in with me throughout my appointment, and explains everything she is doing so I always know what to expect. Everything in the office is top of the line and they are exceptionally clean. I've always found the front desk staff to be friendly and definitely haven't experienced the "up sell" that others have complained of.

Both are very caring and excellent at their job! Jacqueline is the Best Dental Hygienist I've ever had. She listens and changes her methods when you say something hurts. She remembers your family members' names. She appears to enjoy her job. She is never rough. Her flossing and other techniques are so much more gentle than those of other hygienists I've experienced. I am very grateful for her delicate, compassionate care. Ask for Jacqueline when you go!

They check with your insurance before your cleaning to let you know how much you may have to pay out of pocket. They will call to let me know when they are running behind so you dont have to waste your own time waiting in the waiting room. I have never waited more than a few minutes for my appointment. Absolutely amazing. Dr Harji is really talented and really cares about her patients. Her recommendation for dental work is in the best interest of her patients. He said we need to do a root canal now. So I made an appointment but I missed it due to a family emergency. So after taking the Antibiotic for a week, the pain came back after a month and I made an appointment to see him. I walked in the clinic, from his secretary to dental hygienist and the dentist himself were after me for missing the appointment and dr yu clearly said "I am not lecturing you but as business person I lost the sale and had to pay my staff. You should have given us 24 hr notice to cancel so I could have used that time and I lost so much money because of you guys....and you got the estimate for your daughters Invisalign and never got them done". We have been going to this dentist since 2002, we don't have any dental insurance and we have to pay each time from my pocket. For my daughter I paid whatever the consultation was but he quoted an amount that I couldn't afford at that moment so we never anything done from him or any others dentist. For my husband he said it will be cheaper if you just get filling done for now but you need a root canal as it would be cheaper to just have the filling done. He charged me 380 dollars and for root canal it would only be another 300. He didn't give me any price point if though I asked him twice. And now the pain I had gone through for about 2 weeks and now again I am in pain or a week. Who is accountable for the pain I am going through. He just cares for money that's it. He is just a business man not a dentist.

I was pretty nervous about going in due to COVID, but once I got there it was clear: Dr. Hedy and all the staff at the Hornby location take my health as seriously as they take their own. The office had clear procedures to follow, meticulous cleaning regimen, and friendly & communicative staff. The cleaning was effective, concise, and very methodical as to follow very strict procedures designed to protect my health. If you're looking for a thorough & well operated dental office, Aarm Hornby is probably one of the best.

Have gone back several times to fix the issue and each time the problem is "fixed" but never really is. Cleaning was horrendous, they had a new hire work on my teeth who had no idea what she was doing. I felt bad for her and for myself. The whole cleaning took 15 minutes!!!! Dr. Hsu was great at diagnosing for cavities but she doesn't qualify as a dentist. This place is a scam, going back to my old dentist. Don't be fooled by their promotions!

They advised me that they would waive any costs above my insurance (so 20%) for the first visit. So I switched and I am glad I did. I love how everything is bright and new...and of course I love the free street and underground parking. The first visit went well and I like how professional and personable the hygienist and dentist both were. It was a positive dental experience.

I was told that I had to come in 1 hr. ahead of the appt. to be monitored. I explained that my nerve compression wouldn't allow me to sit for 2 hrs. and wanted to explain the problem to the dentist. She wouldn't talk to me, just told the receptionist what to say. When I got there I still didn't get a chance to talk to her except to say I needed to walk around a bit before sitting for a long time. Knowing how I react to this and that it takes 30 min. to 1 hr. to take effect I went next door to get some cat food. I was chased down by the receptionist to come back right now. It was publicly humiliating and the pill was still dissolving under my tongue so I was clearly not incapacitated. I returned within15 min. of leaving and was told by the receptionist that Dr. Shojaei would not see me. She was punishing me for not following her rules. She never came out to speak to me herself, just dumped it on her receptionist. We could have discussed this ahead of time to find a solution. She never did speak to me, just banned me. I now have had proper x-rays done and I do not have a cavity. I never did receive an invoice. This is a very dysfunctional place and also dishonest. Spare yourself.
