I came here for a June wedding and it was an amazing experience. The view of NYC is beautiful from the rooftop area. The acoustics of the venue is amazing for the dj and if you are having a band. When you walk in its kind of confusing because its like a cafe area. However when you go to the fifth floor its a beautiful venue overlooking the gorgeous NYC skyline. I would definitely recommend for a big event for up to 200 people. Place is just gorgeous! read more

Pics & vids don't do this loft justice! It is intentional rustic. This industrial space actually doesn't need a lot of decorating just some lightning will be fine. The outdoor area has beautiful skyline views and is very spacious. I literally have nothing bad to say about this loft. So much attention to detail makes this bare space not feel so raw. We met with Adam, he gave us the run down, pretty much everything I read on the website, This company is very transparent. The cost could really add up at a loft venue but as long as you stick to your preset budget, everything will be fine. Greenpoint is definitely a possibility for the Stjacques wedding :-) read more

The space was really nice for a non-profit yearly fundraising awards event. I liked how the place look unfinished and all the wood around the place. Convenient location in Greenpoint. The food, I really don't know who or how it was arranged but the portions were too little, and when I say too little, believe me it was. It looked like I got served 1 ounce of meat with some grilled squared cut potatoes like 9 tiny pieces of it. The dish used to serve the food was the smallest dish ever, the size of a coffee cup dish, seriously. The taste of the food was super delicious though. The price that I paid for my ticket on this event, you don't wanna know. It was the highest I ever paid for an event, ouch! so, I don't know who is to blame for the lack of food, but I didn't want be back over and over to get more food in a banquet style serving. There were only about 4 tables for people to seat and eat, which were all taken. So like I said, I don't know who's fault it is, the organization who made this event or the manager of this place. I don't know if it was because of the kind of event that I attended, but there were not enough tables for people to sit and eat, so I stood the whole time and didn't seat not even to eat. read more

Did you know, it's really hard to find a wedding venue that can host 200 people in the City? Well, it is. Being a fussy bride I wanted: 1. A place that was NOT a catering hall. 2. A place that was NOT going to look like every other wedding. 3. A wedding that wasn't going to cost $400,000. 4. A place where our guests were not going to be smooshed together like they were in the rush-hour 6 train. Greenpoint loft was perfect... It might have even been too big! But what an amazing night it turned out to be. All our guests had a blast, our caterers were totally OK with the space, and everyone was blown away at the beautiful and unique venue. I would not change anything about it. The staff at the loft was prompt and helpful with the event, and in the end, it was a smooth process. My parents and my in laws were a little creeped out with the location in industrial Greenpoint, my mom was very close to breaking down and telling me to have my wedding at a Korean catering/wedding hall. They bit their tongue and me do what I wanted, and I think everyone is happy about that. Although we did have to hire a valet-parking service for our guests, but totally worth it. read more

Beautiful Venue and was exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I knew off the bat that we did not want to have our wedding at a hotel or country club. While those venues are pretty it did not match us as a couple. Once we saw The Greenpoint Loft we knew it was the venue for us. The team at BK venues are great to work with and are very responsive. We were engaged just before the pandemic and prior to booking we were able to view the venue via zoom and in person. They were also very accommodating when any of our vendors who needed to see the space. The area around the venue is great. Prior to the wedding we got to spend time in the area and loved it. As mentioned in the other reviews ..this is a raw space and you have to handle all the other vendors ie catering etc. But we used most of the vendors on the vendors list which helped a great deal. read more

Went here for the Holiday Market. It's very industrial and the space is confusing as hell to navigate. Doesn't help that another artist studio was doing their own "holiday market"and posted purposely similar-looking signs with a different location (Spoiler- totally not worth seeing). How many people did they successfully manage to divert from the actual event? I'm guessing it was a substantial number. The actual Greenpoint Loft space, where the event was held, is actually pretty cool. The wood and exposed brick interior with its many windows and cool lighting makes for a very open, airy space. There are some really nice views of the waterfront as well. The market itself was fun, although a little too many candle and jewelry tables for my taste (even as someone who likes both). And of course, there was a two-person band performing the most dreary, depressing indie music, which was ridiculously comical for an otherwise festive atmosphere. Pssh hipsters. read more

Beautiful space for a rustic type wedding especially if you have a wabisabi theme. Wedding venue is on the 5th floor. its in the same building as aan escape room and you take the elevator to the top. Loft is very big and very nice views of the skyline from the rooftop area. This is a warehouse type area so it gets shady at night. No parking lot for the venue but you should be able to find a spot if you stay away from Greenpoint Avenue. Has a nuce size bar and bathrooms for men and women and additional shared sinks in the middle. I'm sure they couldnhave fit a changing table in one of the bathrooms but I did not find any. There are tables and chairs but no high chairs so less suitable for children. You mostly bring your own stuff like food and drinks and decorations. Bring some additional lighting for the space as it can get dark and a little more than romantic type dark if you don't bring extra lights. Probably fits about 80 people comfortably including the dance floor. Overall nice spot for an event with nice lofted ceilings making it seem very spacious and nice views for pictures. read more

I had my wedding there August 8. The space is gorgeous, large, and competitively priced. The loft area above the main space + the outdoor roof deck are great spaces, with the roof deck providing beautiful views of Manhattan, Greenpoint, and Queens. Our guests loved the venue. Chris and his staff were easy to work with. They were incredibly patient and responsive answering the numerous questions I had from our initial tour up to the day of the wedding and after. Definitely recommend. A few notes: The street the building is still industrial. This was a selling point for me, but I don't want anyone to be surprised by that and have it negatively affect their impressions. It's a gorgeous interior on an industrial block. GPL provides the space and the option to rent tables and chairs from them. They don't provide catering or other services (there's a service kitchen available for use) but do have lists of vendors they've worked with before. This is a really great, large space right on the river. Well worth it. read more

The Greenpoint Loft was the third venue we looked at for our October 2017 wedding, but when we saw how open and unique the space was, we knew our search was over. Built in the space of an old rope factory, Greenpoint Loft offers an unparalleled experience--especially if you're DIY-minded. While they offer rental of tables and chairs, the event planning experience is entirely customizable. The staff at Greenpoint Loft were very helpful and accommodating of all our DIY/thrifty desires. But let's talk about the space--not only is is MASSIVE and well-equipped (the bathrooms are new and glistening, the "getting ready" rooms were exactly what we needed), but it has an absolutely unmatched view of the East River and New York City skyline. You will NOT get better sunset photos anywhere else in North Brooklyn. We highly recommend Greenpoint Loft for your big day! read more

We LOVED our wedding at Greenpoint Loft. People are still telling me what an amazing, unique and beautiful venue it was. They've also done some awesome renovations (gorgeous tiled wall upon entrance, new deck (with one of the best views of Manhattan I've ever seen) and beautiful new bathrooms). The staff was prompt, helpful and very responsive to my many emails. Warning: You might be turned off by the location. The loft is the 5th floor of an ugly building on an ugly industrial street. Get over it! The inside is GORGEOUS! Also, parking is not easy and valet is worth it. read more

Our event was beautiful. We cannot express how wonderful our wedding experience was at the Greenpoint Loft! The staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with, especially Adam. They were excellent, always responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner. We were able to walk through the space and have all our questions answered, from the circuit layouts to the availability of ladders. We were able to have a relatively large (185 ppl) NYC DIY wedding on a pretty tight budget. I cannot imagine what we would have done if not for the GPL. We had guests come who had never been to the city before. The view from the deck alone was worth the price of admission. read more

I had my wedding here 2 weeks ago. This review is a two parter. Part 1: The Space- The space itself gets 5 stars. It's an incredibly beautiful, rustic, loft with epic views of Manhattan. It can fit over 200 people, easily. There are multiple areas- the main loft space, the mezzanine, and the terrace. It's quite gorgeous if you're looking for an unconventional event space. The renovations to the bathrooms and the outdoor deck are pretty spectacular. It's rare to find such a funky rustic event space in NYC with nice bathrooms. Weird, but true. Part 2: The Customer Service- Blech. The owners/operators of this space literally don't give a single f*uck about you. (They own a bunch of other similar venues, and make SO much money off of them, they really don't care about providing decent service.) If you book your event with them, they provide nothing other than toilet paper, and no service whatsoever. There was a guy onsite when we were setting up for our wedding--but he couldn't help us with any of the problems we ran into. For example, none of the outlets worked on the mezzanine (our DJ had to run power down the pillars to the main floor), and he basically shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know why they aren't working". I think he may have been preoccupied with the small waterfall that was pouring down from the floor above us. Apparently there was a leak on the 6th floor, which rained down into the back hallway of the Loft space. Thankfully this got taken care of before our guests arrived, and no one was the wiser. The company's response via email is actually quite fast- they usually got back to me in less than a few hours. However, they have a bunch of different people answering the same email address, so it's a bit confusing with little chain of continuity. In the end, we got rave reviews from our guests, which is what really mattered to us. However, if you're looking for an event space that provides more than the bare minimum, GP Loft is not for you. That being said, the space itself is undeniably epic and gives good reason to provide little to no service. read more

I just attended a wedding there, and here are the pros and cons: PROS The main room is big with a high ceiling. There is a second, small room up a flight of stairs, which was used as a bridal room. There is a very nice view of the Manhattan skyline. On weekends, you have a shot at street parking nearby. CONS There is no signage identifying the loft, and there was no sign for the wedding. The adjoining space to the loft is pretty grungy, and there was an unpleasant smell in the hallway. You have to take an elevator to the fifth floor to get there, but you would never know that unless someone told you. read more

We selected GPL for our wedding reception venue. Overall it was a good experience and we were happy that we found such a great space. Our guest list ended up being smaller than we anticipated, at ~200. With a party of that size, we shuffled a few things around to make it feel more intimate in a space as large as GPL. The views are fantastic and our guests enjoyed taking in the skyline at the outdoor area or spending time just inside, in the loft section. The raw space meant our decorator needed only to string a few cafe lights and the place looked slammin'. Chris was great to work with. I am a wedding planner and this is my first time working with the Greenpoint Loft. Each venue has a different set of specifications and rules. I just got off the phone with Lauren who was AMAZING. Sometimes venues can make it difficult for a planner or client to receive, understand, and abide different policies. Lauren was so knowledge and was able to break everything down for me. She spent so much time speaking with me through all of the details and logistics. I was so appreciative of her highly detailed and knowledgable manor as well as how friendly she was. We've had an appointment to view the space for 2 weeks, as we are planning a wedding. The administrator never showed to give us the tour. She had our cell number. Never heard from her. She also didn't answer her phone. Not a good way to run a business that is based on scheduling and planning details. Beware before you book this space. They may not be very organized. read more

The Greenpoint Loft was beyond fantastic! I dealt with Adam who was always quick to answer my questions, accommodating and very easy to work with. About two weeks before our wedding, I found that I needed to visit the space a number of times with the photographer and musician and it was always easy for me to arrange a time to stop by. The venue also provided me with a list of vendors they'd worked with, which is where I found my (amazing) caterer. The space itself was absolutely gorgeous and didn't need much dressing up. The AC worked like a charm and there was plenty of room for everyone at the wedding and more. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone in a heartbeat! read more
