I happened to see an ad on Near East Neighborhood for a new landscaping business Columbus Landworks. I contacted Marshall on Friday. He came to give me an estimate on Saturday and spent five hours on Sunday cleaning up our entire garden. He came back to edge and mulch the garden, front and side yards. Now he returns weekly to keep things neat and trim. Reasonably priced and he's a nice guy who does excellent work.

Then we decided to install irrigation system, front and back. Then, we realized we needed a French drain and rerouting of downspout water. They did all this fast, with great communication. Over the years, they have planted 6 trees and 9 shrubs that I…read morepurchased there - all are doing extremely well - particularly 5 of the 6 trees that have grow into mature trees. This visit was to purchase flats of annuals for our spring planting. In addition to having a great selection of plants, they also have a very knowledgable staff who was able to direct us to what we were looking for and to answer questions about planting instructions, etc. Oakland has several locations and I've been to the Columbus, Delaware and New Albany locations but the New Albany location is my favorite (and the closest on to my home). Great selection / great staff / reasonable prices. Beats the big box stores.

Just an update to my last review:…read more Not only does this nursery have an abundance of perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetable plants trees and shrubs, and trees; it has many other things to offer: Inside the main building, they have a gift shop. Next to the gift shop (also inside) is an inside cashier for the outdoor nursery. Which makes it nice in bad weather. in this area, you can find your miracalGro, grass seed, fertilizer birdseed, bird feeders, hummingbird as well as garden tools and seedlings. They also have custom potting. In their attached green house. The nursery is dog friendly provided the dog is well behaved and welcome in the inside and outside areas. Our dog rides around on the cart as I pick out plants. On the north side of the parking lot they also have another gift shop Inside Out. Also worth checking out. Dogs should avoid this part of Oakland Nursery. Lots of breakable stuff. Its a fun place to visit and get your plants from. The people here are very helpful and if they dont know the answer to your question they will radio someone who does. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
