Here today! I needed…read morea dry cleaners and Yelp recommended Winn Street Laundry, it was within 2 miles of my hotel so perfect. Winn Street Laundry does their laundry on premise but they send their dry cleaning out. I'm not use to their prices, they have a minimum weight and Jezzzzus, their prices was astronomical! I asked how much and gasps behind me for asking and the lady at the counter "This is Boston" look and their awards let me know YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES DONE RIGHT, SCREW THE PRICES. $7 freakin dollars for a single shirt? It was either my ego that agreed, determined to look Winn Street Laundry starched down and pressed or didn't wanna look cheap and couldn't afford their services. I said out loud "Good grief, I pay $2.79 in Houston for a man buttoned down laundry, heavy starched shirt". I felt the evil eyes trying to climb my Psalm 91 hedges of protection because one of the two tunnels here was closed due to construction and the traffic put commuter's at least 30 minutes behind and in traffic. These Bostonians need to fire up a joint which is legal here and CHILL OUT:)))) Anywho, my dry cleaning was superb and the heavy starch I requested cut my neck and was ready before time. My shirt collars was white so I had not a one complaint for my HARD earned mula. I received a text when my clothes were ready along with a reminder of the price, I like that. I learned a valuable lesson from Winn; order some white polo's from Amazon, buy Spray n Wash along with spray starch and save that money for 2 16 inch bundles of human hair:))) Here today! I've been going to this Landry mat and using there laundering services for months now. At first…read moreeverything went well then the first incident when my brand new king size sheet got tie dyed. Although the girl the was doing my Landry seemed apologetic she blamed it on a new girl working there. I let it go, then a pair of sweat pants lost their belt again a trivial matter but when I told Brittany the manager she looked at me like I had five heads. I pay for a services I guess I expect people to be remorseful or say something. Another thing I began to notice the prices jump up when I brought in much bigger loads of Landry the price wasn't that high? The most recent problem a long rip down the side of a very expensive top, again I was polite and well mannered toward Brittany. I didn't say anything because she never responded when I asked her where my belt was to my sweat pants. But when I dropped my clothes off a couple of weeks or so ago she quoted me a price when I went in the next day the price was different? Again puzzled? I had asked a different woman there did the prices go up ? She didn't seem to know um ?? So when they laundry mat e-mailed me my receipt with the question how was the service I told her my concerns. She was the owner, she engaged in a couple of emails. She said that the price they quoted at pick up was right and Brittany must of made a mistake she did apologize. Well Monday I went in to do my usually drop off and Brittany wouldn't look at my face she "said I hope you don't need these soon cause were very busy". She said we've picked new clients I was surprised because I always picked up the following afternoon . She seemed annoyed with me keeping a controlled pissy demeanor with me. I was going to take me things somewhere else but I needed clothes . Doing my own laundry has become a little challenge for me both my knees need to be replaced, the day I saw her I had my cane and I was in pain. So tell me is this the way you treat the elderly ??? I am now however going to take my laundry else where do to her attitude toward me. Its to bad because I did like her and thought she was different. Maybe the other woman Joan who is lovely should be the manager there clearly Brittany isn't happy there anymore. I was told she's looking for a new job with benefits! Well that's great but don't get an attitude when someone has given you criticism about the quality of your service. I've given this girl Brittany plenty of positive comment's and a tip here and there so I'm not a crabby person!
