Trying to find the correct person to help with an issue or anyone at all to answer the phone in billing is near impossible. They sent a bill of mine to CBC to collect. I was never sent this bill. Nothing in the mail. No email. No phone call. Nothing before they sent it to collections. My account "financial educator" couldn't even tell me what the bill was for. I've been asking for a full statement of my account for weeks and even that is too difficult for them to manage. Trying to get information on the charge requires endless follow up on my part and it is still unresolved more than 2 months later. And this is just the latest of several issues I've had with their billing department. Since 2022, I've been asked to fill out multiple forms, consents and sign up for 5 or 6 different portals as they've changed ownership, yet still they send mail to the wrong address or text me bills instead of emailing them despite multiple requests not to text. This does not instill trust or confidence in a medical practice.  Regarding their medical staff, the doctors and nurses are nice and competent and I do believe Dr. Klein and his coordinator Jenna tried to help me and my fiancé, but the entire practice or company more accurately, feels like a factory. You don't see your doctor during most or every visit, just whoever is available on that day. One visit, I had side effects from a medication that seemed unusual and the doctor I saw said she'd never encountered it, shrugged and didn't have anything to say other than "let us know if it gets worse or doesn't go away." I also had significant side effects both immediately after and weeks after my trigger medication that I was never warned about. Reddit subs were more helpful than RMA in these cases - it seems these side effects were all fairly common. If we try again, we might have considered continuing with RMA because finding and trying a new practice is full of it's own uncertainty and risks, but after this latest billing issue, never again. Every interaction with RMA on the billing/admin side has been infuriating, riddled with incompetence, and simply bad business. There are other options out there, save yourself the frustration and avoid RMA.

The surgery office by Wall Street also really makes you feel safe and comfortable, and the surgery staff and anesthesiologists are wonderful. My husband and I struggled with poor genetic quality with the embryos we produced, and Dr. Kofinas recommended trying PRP in my ovaries. Walking into the office the first time, coming off of a couple of failed ivf cycles with a previous doctor I was nervous and emotional and a little defeated. Dr. Kofinas examined me and discovered that I had many more fibroids than I had known about and a significant amount of endometriosis that I had not known about at all. He seemed confident that this was the reason I wasn't getting pregnant and we quickly scheduled my surgery to correct these issues. I can't explain the emotion and relief I felt to finally feel like there was a reason for my lack of success and not just "unexplained infertility ", the diagnosis that my previous doctor had given me. I had proceeded with multiple egg retrievals and finally a successful embryo transfer a few months ago! Through the entire process the professionalism and kindness and personalized approach to myself and every patient was exceptional. The confidence and trust I had in Dr Kofinas was truly the most comforting thing through such and emotional process. All of the staff always greeted me with a smile and answered any questions in a way that took away any fear that I'd be fixated on. After experiences with larger fertility clinics where I felt like just a number, this office has been completely different -- here, you are treated like a human being. For the first time in this journey, I actually feel happy instead of stressed. Everything has been so smooth, organized, and seamless, which has made such an emotional process feel manageable and even hopeful. What truly sets this practice apart is that Dr. Zapantis personally performs all procedures himself. He takes the time to answer every question thoroughly and even draws diagrams to ensure you fully understand your treatment plan. He creates individualized plans for each patient and works closely with you and your spouse to make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident. He has also been incredibly flexible and accommodating with my husband's work schedule, which has meant so much to us. Because this is a smaller practice, nothing feels cookie-cutter or like a one-size-fits-all approach. Every treatment plan is truly personalized, and you can feel how much thought and care goes into every decision. Everyone here goes above and beyond -- you never have to worry about being left waiting for a phone call or email. Communication is prompt, clear, and reassuring, which makes such a difference during a process that can otherwise feel overwhelming. Priscilla is always quick to respond and so helpful. Joyce is consistently kind and welcoming every time we walk through the door. Sandra patiently answers all of my questions, reassures us, and even gives me a hug when I need it most. Kim and Susan have also been wonderful to work with. The entire team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly makes you feel like family. Fertility treatment can be an emotional journey, but this office makes you feel heard, supported, and cared for every step of the way. I am so grateful to be under their care and highly recommend them to anyone navigating infertility.

My first annual visit was so pleasant I was excited to receive care here but once I became pregnant the problems started to arise. I did not receive a pregnancy packet of information for a healthy pregnancy or the REQUIRED discussion with their nurse until my 20 week appointment. I was asked if my morning sickness continuing into 20 weeks was a "me problem" I did not receive information meant to be distributed at 28 weeks, until 32 weeks Their website was 10 years outdated and had incorrect information about birth practices at Phelps hospital, when I found this out I tried to contact them to get answers and was pacified being told they would "get to the bottom of this and make sure to get you answers" instead I was scheduled with a new midwife who when I asked about this, I was told she had no idea and didn't know any of the hospital practices. It then took additional weeks for them to not correct their website, but completely remove it. When I continued to bring up my concerns over lack of information on hospital policy I was told I should look into home birth options (it was too late in my pregnancy to find a home birth midwife who was accepting new clients with my due date). I never ended up meeting all the midwives before my delivery I went to the hospital for prodromal labour and was told I should stay since "they were going to induce me tomorrow anyway" but I was never informed of this previously. I opted to leave and was informed by a nurse I needed to sign an AMA that I was choosing to leave. I asked the midwife on call if this was true and she said she did not know the hospital policy. I was constantly being hounded to schedule an induction despite multiple refusals and a MFM doctor telling me my placenta looked healthy and he had no concerns about me waiting until 41+4 to induce. When I did go into labour (not induced) I was terrified to find out that the midwife who I felt completely uncomfortable with due to multiple negative appointments was on call. I told myself I just had to wait 12 hours and a new midwife would be on- nope! Kathy Herron was on call for 24 hours and made my labour so uncomfortable. She was rude, hostile and honestly traumatizing. She laughed at me while I tried to work through labour pain and was having a difficult time. She continually asked me to break my waters which I constantly refused then they "just broke in her hands". I fully believe she broke my water without my consent even though I made it clear that was NOT what I wanted. When it was time to push, I told her I needed a moment to prepare myself mentally and she said "most women would be happy right now". She wanted me to give birth how she wanted and when she wanted. I wish I could give my experience 0 stars and am genuinely afraid for other women to have this same experience.

I wanted to work with a Known Donor so finding a clinic that would be very sensitive and honor my wishes was critical. I looked at a few different clinics but out of all of the clinics I toured, CUFC was the place I felt most comfortable. My doctor, Lauren Bishop, from our first interaction displayed tremendous empathy, consideration, sensitivity, and pragmatism. I knew that I would be able to have a child with the help of doctors and specialists at CUFC. My road to getting enough embryos for a transfer was long and unforgiving. When I suffered set-backs, Dr. Bishop and the care team provided me with the space to grieve while always being ready to reengage. When I decided to do an FET, I went in with very low expectations- the story I told myself was that my egg were "poor quality" and thus I shouldn't hope for one of my embryos to implant in my uterus. Dr. Bishop had faith and encouraged me to lean into the possibility. When I got my beta results, I was delighted; I had already had symptoms of pregnancy so receiving that verification that I was indeed pregnant, really was a sweet treat. I have now graduated from CUFC with my little embryo. We will be transitioning to our OB/midwife now. I will miss the team at CUFC- the effecient check-in's; being in-and-out of morning monitoring in 15 minutes flat; the ability to email my doctor/nurse/care coordinator; the constant flow of useful information about my labs and meds. While I love my midwife/OB's practice, I will deeply miss the care of CUFC.

The only time the doctor said hello was when my husband was doing his bloodwork. The male doctor is not very compassionate and has the worst bedside manner that I have seen. For my egg retrievals, the anesthesiologist was literally 3 hours late and I lost the entire lot. I got no apology and no refund. The doctor blamed me and said I had suboptimal fertility and refused to even do an implantation. I guess he didnt want to affect his numbers and thought that I would ruin his implant-to-pregnancy ratio. He made me freeze my embryos forcing me to pay storage fees and still would not implant. I ended up being forced to destroy the embryos. The staff was equally as rude and treats patients like liabilities. Look it is bad enough that we are going through difficulties getting pregnant, but they had no compassion at all. Well, fast forward to months later and a different clinic with much better reviews. As a RN, I know how important it is to have good, quality care. Regardless of if we become pregnant or not, it doesn't matter. What matters to me is that the person I choose to take care of me makes me feel like they care. And that, that is exactly how I felt when I got off the phone with Dr. Seifer that Saturday afternoon. Happily, I continued to feel that way every time I interact with the staff in the comfort of the Westport office.
