However, she was to be buried with my dad in MS. I had no idea how this would work out. Thankfully we had purchased a pre-plan for mom from Baldwin-Lee when my dad passed in 2020. Ms. Regina was on the phone, text, or email with me for the entire process. She worked with the sister mortuary here in CO and had all the arrangements made for my mother to be transported back to Baldwin-Lee for the visitation. Whenever I had a question about anything, transportation, obituary, getting garments shipped for the viewing; Ms. Regina was on the phone with me. Walking me through every step. When I arrived in MS, Ms. Tamea walked me through all of the signing of the final paperwork. I found her to be just as helpful and comforting. She helped set everything in place for the viewing as well. The visitation room was beautiful! All family and friends commented on how lovely and peaceful it was. I would also like to thank Butch, the driver, for getting mom to her final resting place in Laurel, MS. Everyone at Baldwin-Lee worked together with me to make this difficult time come about as seamlessly as possible. Thank you all! I highly recommend Baldwin-Lee funeral home. When I got back the bill was 3K higher. I asked why it was higher and they said that was the price all along and I must have misunderstood them. I didn't even have money enough for flowers. A friend bought them for us. It was terrible. I was over a barrel. The plot was in the adjoining cemetery. Everything was over priced. They weren't helpful at all. I suppose it was because I was from out of state. When I did my due diligence, the company that owns this place is under constant litigation for unethical and criminal practices. The number of cases is as long as my arm. Most of my family is buried here. It used to be a great place. This new company is interested in nothing but money. They know you have very few options when it comes to this type thing. It was the worst experience of my life. My dad bought plots there years ago, like back in the 60s. I am going to sell mine as soon as I can get the paperwork settled. I never ever want to deal with these people ever again.
