Greenwood Plaza is one of those hangout places for the desk jockeys of North Sydney, Australia's third largest CBD. It also serves as concourse and shopping centre cum food court.
In the morning it's like a giant vacuum cleaner that sucks people out of the train station and blows them into the offices and coffee shops around. This rush can be more attributed to the masses of people and their seeming trudge to work ahead than actual speed. It's like a gooey river of people. I often walk against that stream and feel like a salmon ready to spawn. If only I could leap into the air and hurl myself towards the gates... (I might actually try that one day)
Prices in most outlets suit the affluent neighbourhood, though hot beverage prices at cafes are reasonable thanks to competition. There's a good mix of shops, butcher, fish monger, clothing alteration, shoe repair, fresh food, fashion, telco, games, jeweller, restaurant etc. etc. - oh, and cafes that churn out drinks for survival.
