We had Mason Cox come inspect our prospective home, and he was nothing short of amazing. He was incredibly thorough and hit every single aspect of his report. Sometimes you see inspectors skip certain portions because of things like rugs being on the floor partially obscuring entryways, utilities not being turned on, etc. But Mason was exceptional. During his inspection, the water had to be turned off for the plumbers that were fixing some pipes, and he gracefully moved the plumbing portion of the inspection to the very end so they could finish their work and we could get our full inspection completed. It was also raining yesterday, very strongly at some points, and Mason still got on the roof to cover that portion of the inspection as well. Due to wet conditions, the structural engineer we were going to hire was not going to come out to inspect our prospective home - this was no issue for Mason. He got out his tool used for measuring the entire interior of the house to send over to the structural engineers at Greenworks inspections as well as somewhat get into the crawlspace to take photos of leaning piers and standing water. Major concerning issues we would have missed if he hadn't looked in there for us. We also had an electrical inspector over, and when Mason overheard some of the issues the electrician was quoting us, Mason took it upon himself to conduct his own thorough inspection of the issue - using tools like his thermal detection gun to verify what the electrician was telling us. My partner and I were so impressed as well as thankful to have him over. I was interrupting much of his day, and he was always kind and responsive to all of my questions - answering them thoroughly and knowledgeably. His verbal summary report at the end of the inspection was just as thorough. Despite having his own family and another inspection that same day, he also still managed to get us our full written report by the end of the day so we could send over our repair requests to the sellers during our short option period. If I were to get another general inspection done in Dallas, I would 110% be thrilled to have Mason come through for us again. read more

We had our home inspected by GreenWorks and Mark Harrison! The process to schedule the inspection was easy and easy to understand. The online site provided a menu of options with prices for each clearly stated. Once the options were chosen you were able to choose the day and time. i was offered two times to choose from, a morning or afternoon inspection. I received numerous texts leading up to the day of the inspection to remind me about their cancellation policy and payment method. Mark arrived on time and was very polite and informative of the process. We were able to stay in the home while the inspection took place and Mark worked around us. At the completion of the inspection we were guided through the preliminary inspection report with explanations if needed. We received the thorough and easy to read report the following morning with numerous photos depicting the items inspected. Home inspections aren't always easy to get through but Mark made the entire process very comfortable. We had the pleasure of working with Brock for our Phase 2 (pre-drywall) inspection, and he did an outstanding job! Brock was incredibly thorough and detailed, catching critical issues that could have easily been missed, including outside stud bay bracing, uneven subfloors, bowing studs, a damaged cripple stud, and trip hazards from protruding nails. He identified damaged framing members, garage sheathing concerns, missing fire-blocking, and window operational issues, as well as foundation form boards that needed removal to prevent termite risks. Brock also pointed out unsupported attic walkboards, missing nailing plates at plumbing and electrical lines, multiple issues with exterior sheathing (including holes, damage, unsealed penetrations, improper flashing, and missing flashing tape), and HVAC ducts that weren't sealed. Brock and GreenWorks were excellent- they listened thoroughly to what we needed, found the source of the mold that we suspected would be there due to health concerns, and expertly guided ours and the remediation company's next steps regarding the mold issue in my mom's house. My mom's blood pressure has returned to normal, her brain fog and instances of double vision have stopped, she has stopped itching, and she is sleeping through the night- so we KNOW he did an excellent job.
