I was with State Farm for 21 years. Without warning, letter, or a telephone call, they dropped my insurance due to claims. (2 minor were my fault, and 1 was not.) The most unprofessional experience I have had in a long time. After years of calls, emails, and friendly exchanges...never missed a payment, and a representative called to yell at me while I am scrambling to find insurance for me and my two teenage children. All it would have taken was a call (which they claim in their files they did, but mysteriously, that employee is no longer working for them). Nobody ever called me. I cannot find any letter from them. Maybe the postman lost it? In any event, after 21 years of loyalty, this is how my kids and I were treated. read more

I can't recommend Greg McDonald State Farm enough! I've been with them for about a year after an uncharacteristically tumultuous driving season (coming to them shortly after experiencing my first accident + total loss, the buying of a beater which led to another accident, and a couple minor tickets). Helena initially got me set up, talking through EVERYTHING with me, making sure I got all the discounts I could, and ultimately allowing me to actually understand car insurance for the first time in my adult life! Helena, Kara, and Taylor have been incredible every time I've called or texted in to ask questions and seek advice - always ensuring the utmost clarity and always radiating such personable warmth and care. I am crushed to be leaving (for financial reasons and due only to my own recent driving record - to NO fault of theirs - and when I called in to talk about it, Taylor was so gracious in going above & beyond) because I know this level of customer service is a rare find, but I look forward to hopefully returning in the future when my driving record carries less weight on my rates. I inquired about my policy coverage and was told by Nick I was covered and forced into filing a claim. I was called by the rudest claims person who pretty much told me I was stupid for filing a claim. I was promised a call back from Nick after he figured stuff out, but after several days of not hearing anything, I switched insurance companies as I was not given proper customer service. When my wife called to cancel our last policy with them (life policy) Greg was a total a-hole. AVOID. Maybe stay with State Farm, but definitely find a professional agent who provides proper customer service. I am now with Erie Insurance and pay less and get better coverage. read more
