Dr Beck saved my life…read more Thank you Dr Beck. My Mother, Husband, and family thank you too. I've been a patient for almost 2 years now. I've seen her as much as 2 or 3 times a week for treatment, and as little as every other month. We keep in touch. I see her often. She is kind, genuine, and dedicated to killing cancer in women. I know personally she is an amazing surgeon and doctor. I was misdiagnosed at another hospital ER as having endometriosis. I knew it was cancer just due to my family history, and when I followed up with a gynecologist, she referred me to a gyno oncologist. I did some research and made an appt with Dr Beck, that was 11/21. When I had my appt with Dr Beck, I was indeed diagnosed with stage 3 metastatic cancer which has lead to 2 rounds of chemo, brachytherapy, radiation, a clinical trial (which I am SO GLAD I took part in) a radical hysterectomy, a robotic lymphatic dissection, 2 different immunotherapy treatments, and a few other surgeries and procedures. So, I've been working closely with Dr Beck for a while now, and I'm so thankful she is my doctor. I am the type of person that wants honesty, even if it's really bad news. I have asked Dr Beck some pretty crazy questions this last year and a half, and she has always been up front and honest with me. Straight forward, but kind. I can only make good choices for my treatment if I know everything, and Dr Beck has a great way of making sure I know the risks, and the benefits so I can make the best choice for me. I've helped more family than I care to admit with their cancer journeys, and I know that care can differ dramatically. I've also gotten a second opinion with a top doc at UCLA. They agreed wholeheartedly with my current treatment, (cutting edge they called it). With all the doctors and facilities I've seen, I know I'm in good hands. Dr Beck handled all of my oncology surgeries, and is very hands on with all my treatments. I have memories of family members that that I lost to cancer, I know good care vrs bad care. Dr Beck is cream of the crop. There's just no two ways about it. So many things I just don't have to worry about. Even when I was really new to all this stuff, Dr Beck and her staff helped guide me thru it. They were kind when I was loosing my mind with all the stress of this, and so patient with me on the bad days. The fact that I've felt so confident about my oncologist has really given my loved ones a lot of comfort and reassurance. Honestly, I could go on and on. I don't know how anyone couldn't love Dr Beck. I can't say enough good things about her. I mean what do you say about the person that saved your life? I guess you just say Thank You for today. Thanks Dr Beck.

Been to Newport Beach hundreds of times…read more.. I probably passed this place just as many times. Not paying attention as to what this building was Or the beautiful people that work here. Several months back...I took my sister in law here. Not realizing that this facility assists patients with cancer. I've driven here several times... to get chemotherapy for my friend.. The first check in...you look out the window and see a nice view of the beach about a 1/2 mile away. Everyone that works here is fantastic. Dr Mendivil and his assistant Julie are fantastic. There is a wall of actors, actresses, politicians, sports players and private people with their photos. That are posted on the wall down a hallway. And are donors to this facility. We got to meet a lot of interesting people here. Some patients that have great stories Of fascinating cures...and laughable experiences. This is a side of the world that I was glad to see... Margaret really was a great talker. Enjoyed getting the attention of her favorite nurse Julie, Putting a smiie on everyones faces As she boldly cracked funny jokes or comments Yes, we made our time here full of fun, Despite the seriousness of her cancer Great physicians and assistants.. Watched over by the Master Physician in Heaven..

My wife was diagnosed with lymphoma in July and we were referred here to see Dr. Reese. From the…read morebeginning, my wife felt cared for by the doctor and his staff. Since this was during the covid pandemic, I was allowed to go in only for the initial consultation and for her first infusion. They have a great covid protocol in place, so we never felt nervous about her visits. During the initial consult, Dr. Reese spent a long time with us, explaining in detail about the cancer and about what to expect during the treatments. He drew pictures and wrote key words on some sheets of paper we were able to take home and study. We felt he really cared about her outcome. They have a web portal for communication that allowed us to submit questions and usually had Dr. Reese or a staff member get back to us that same day. They were also great at working through insurance issues with us. We never felt overlooked or ignored, and my wife said all of the front office staff and nurses were kind and helpful. Unlike restaurant reviews where you end it by saying "I can't wait to come back!", well, I'll say we do feel comfortable continuing to see Dr. Reese for follow-ups, and should a similar need arise in the future, UCLA Health And Dr. Reese will likely be the first place we ask for!
