In general the seating areas are clean and well maintained, though there have been a couple of occassions (peak time) when the tabletops haven't been wiped down, but that was probably because it was so busy that the assistants didn't get a chance to clean them before the next customer sat down. There's nothing better than a sausage roll, cup of coffee and a fresh cream eclair to round off a hard day's shopping.

I've visited several branches in Newcastle but this one stood out. This particular branch is always busy so you have to know what you want and be able to make a mad dash to pay. The sandwiches were sloppy. There's more range now but the sizes of the products have decreased. The staff just wanted your money and for you to leave asap. My tuna crunch missed on the crunch and had a change of recipe. The prices are so high now that I don't think it's even worthwhile especially when there are so many other food choices on the same street that are similar and cheaper.

I enjoy the strawberry tarts here but more often than not I avoid busy Greggs and shop at a similar bakery store at the opposite end of Manor Walks.
