Well, I'm not going to pull wool over your eyes and claim that this Greggs bakery is any different from thousands of others around the UK.
But I've found that the staff here are particularly friendly and smile throughout the long days. They have a whole lot of stamina, those ladies, to be able to be sweet to nonchalant customers while wearing ridiculous outfits and working around hot ovens.
Unfortunately, because for most of the day, apart from lunchtime, this is quite a quiet branch, the food is sometimes not as warm as we might expect, but it's still pretty tasty.
The best thing though, in my opinion, about Greggs in Wales is that they sell Welshcakes. I asked for some in Coventry recently and got stared down until I realised what country I was in.
So, a good place for the odd treat. And very good custard slices. Dangerous. read more
