Dr. Giles is not only compassionate but also incredibly knowledgeable about all the treatment options available, especially for those who have struggled with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. She thoroughly explains all the options--whether they are treatments offered at her clinic or elsewhere--and does so in a way that makes everything understandable. She knows how to 'read the room' and adjust her explanations to my level, breaking down how these treatments affect the brain's neural modulatory elements. Her commitment to getting treatments authorized and approved is remarkable, and I regularly receive calls from her after business hours, solely for the purpose of ensuring her patients get the care they need. Her work ethic and persistence are truly admirable, and she is an integral part of the compassionate care this practice provides. For so long, I wished there was more urgency in finding better treatment options for those suffering from mental health issues. Breakthru is exactly that. The results are proven, and more importantly, they are seeing firsthand the incredible impact their work is having on their patients' lives. I've been a patient of hers for over 15 years (I've known her much longer) and I truly trust her advice. Yes, she can be delayed with other patients. Yes, you may have to wait. This Dr is horrible. The wait time is horrendous. I came in at 9AM and wasn't seen until 12:30PM…read moreand left by 2pm, with another 30 min wait just to write out a lab request. I was a new patient,so they kept going to see their follow-up patients first. This is one of my pet peeves, no matter if you're new or existing patient, I think a office should go by order of appointment. Any way, I wasted 5 hours of my day and left with no solution to the problem that I went to see her for. I saw her one time and will never see her again. I'm guessing her good reviews must be from her staff, her family members or the Dr herself....I not sure how anyone can like this Dr, no bedside manner at all. P.S....I'm on of the easiest patient to please, but a 5 hour visit is ridiculous.
