We were buying flowers to take to the gravesite of our grandparents, who are long deceased, at the nearby Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The staff in the shop were helpful and friendly. We did not know much about buying flowers for gravesites, and the woman working at the shop actually called up the cemetery to check on their rules about vases. The shop prepared us two beautiful bouquets along with the appropriate green vases. I also appreciated how they did not try to up-sell us on anything. While there, I also found a pair of lovely earrings among the shop's beautifully selected array of gift items. I definitely would visit again if I am back in Kansas City.

As I was getting ready to walk down the aisle, holding my GORGEOUS bouquet, the arbor was in clear view and I was so overwhelmed at how beautiful, full, and unique it was. For all you wedding planners/brides, the arbor is the first thing that guests see when they come to your wedding and you definitely do not want to disappoint! Then, when we came out for our reception, I was blown away at how absolutely beautiful our sweetheart table was decorated! As my husband and I were having our dinner, I cannot count how many times we said to each other, "Omg...Laura did SOOOO GOOD!" We wish were able to keep EVERYTHING! But we did bring our entire arbor home just so we could adore it for just a little longer :) And we preserved some of the arrangements, such as my bouquet, his boutonnière, and some of the smaller arrangements. This recent order was due to our daughter moving to the Hyde Park area this Christmas. When I called and spoke to Sarah (which is always a wonderful experience!) When we arrived to visit our daughter on this December 23rd and I was able to see the arrangements that Bergamot & Ivy had created and delivered I was in absolute awe! I saw similar arrangements on local shops websites and they were a lot more than what I paid. For example I wanted $150-175 flower spray (pictured) not a $300-400 flower spray. It was perfect for his funeral. I also received flower arrangement from Village flower company and that is what is shown too. I will definitely use them again.

I used to think very highly of this vendor and have used them frequently. However, I asked for a delivery of a bouquet. The recipient told me that they were left in the heat to die. I called and asked for an explanation. The explanation was, that yes indeed they did leave the flowers on the porch in the heat and said they "did everything they could" to reach the recipient: The recipient was busy because her sister was dying and the flowers should have been delivered when someone was available. I have never had another floral shop just leave flowers to die. What a waste of time and it was rude to the recipient. Despite the beautiful work, it just doesn't matter unless you can get the flowers where they belong in a professional manner. I was told I will receive a refund. I'd rather have had decent service. read more
