Our host Soren was very friendly and provided a nice breakfast in the morning, as well as helpful tips about the town and attractions when we checked in. Our room had a comfortable bed and roomy bathroom. They have an honor bar for beer, wine and soft drinks as well as aperitifs if you are so inclined. This was a fine place to stay in Skagen.

Make sure to try the assorted local beer. Freshly baked bread for breakfast every morning. Old fashioned style type of hotel, very basic rooms (with thin walls). We didn't mind, we (two adults and our seven year old daughter) were there to explore the surroundings. But rooms were small and the bathroom was extremely small- so if you need a lot of space, this place is not for you. The hotel was very well located, close to the white sandy long beach and a short drive from places such as Skagen, Råbjerg Mile, and "Grenen" - where 2 oceans meet. If the weather is nice I recommend renting bikes to explore the area. Our only "complaint" is that since there wasn't any other restaurants around really, we would wish for some variation in the menu. Even though the plaice was amazing both nights :)

Bathrooms a bit dated but still large and very functional. The hotel used to be the luxury hotel in Frederikshavn. Now they have completion but still the best in town. Great service at front desk and good parking behind the hotel. There is free wifi and breakfast on the 6th floor is included. The view is awesome across the harbor. The have a nice bar / lounge on the ground floor. Overall a great experience

My wife and I were very impressed…read more The new owners as of March 2019 are very experienced in the hospitality business since they also own the nearby Skagen Fiskerestaurant. That experience is very evident here at the hotel. Our suite, #7, was a corner unit on the top, 1st floor. So we had great light, cross ventilation, and a large balcony. The unit is fully self contained, with a full kitchen, including large refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher with detergents, tv, and washer/dryer. In addition to the 4 seater dining room table, there is a pull out sofa and two casual chairs. Our King bedroom had a large closet. Breakfast is a buffet of the typical Danish offerings, including, soft boiled eggs, various breads, danish, meat cold cuts, cheeses, herring, salad accompaniments, fruits, juices and almond milk. Our room was serviced daily and very generous with fresh towel replacements for both the bathroom and kitchen. There's coffee and sweets offered during the day, and limited bar in the lobby. Bikes are available for the hotel guests. It's a short 7-10 minute walk to restaurants, the harbor, and town. The owners, Jesper and Didde are on site and along with their staff are all so friendly, and wanting to accommodate. I would stay here again!!

Laundry facilities are available and the staff is more than willing to assist you. The biggest complaint is that there is a discotheque-bar across the parking lot that has LOUD music after 11PM. All the rooms in the hostel face the parking lot and it is impossible to sleep until the bar closes. I would never stay here again even with earplugs.
