Oh my goodness! This is the largest gift shop with all the handmade gifts in this part of America!…read more I found Cameron Trading Post during my drive from Page to Sedona. There is a restaurant, hotel and a giant gift shop in the building. The amount of amazingly beautiful handmade jewelry, pottery and accessories ... just mind blowing! Very hard to walk away from buying anything, so be prepared to spend some serious money here! Besides more turquoise jewelry, I also bought some Prickly Cactus Pear Jelly, and a Prickly Cactus Pear Marmalade. There are multiple cashier counters, so you don't have to worry about waiting in line for too long. The cashiers are very nice and helpful with any questions you may have. Taking pictures or videos without permission is not allowed! It's a great place to stop during your trip, for a restroom break, or shopping or just a scenery around the area.

Guessing based on their breakfast that their lunch/ dinner is good... but it's hard to find good breakfast places and this is definitely one! * Highly recommend the Warrior Surprise and the Ranch Hand. *The Navajo taco with an egg anyway you want it... not only tasty but such a huge portion. Get the fresh onions and salsa on the side and you can decide how much you want if it. * The country fried steak was tender and that is some of the best gravy that comes with the Ranch Hand. Recommend opting for the fry bread for an extra 1.75... totally a treat! *Service was attentive and friendly * Dining room views of the outside was pretty. * Didn't stay at the lodge but would consider it given the pretty landscaping and access to a restaurant within walking distance... a good restaurant. *Clean restrooms *Can get busy when tour busses stop *Def will return

It would be better to put the whole motel "vacant" for a month and fumigate /heat treat than to risk the reputation of the tribal cultural center. I really didn't want to say anything negative about this place where such kind, polite and understanding people work, but this issue ruined our trip and cost us a lot of money.

The location has a small motel with clean rooms and a coffee shop. Very limited menu. No alcohol available. No gas station. No grocery store. The Art gallery is not always open. Also the few gift/Art&Craft rooms are occasionally open on lazy unscheduled moments. It seems like only knowledgeable tourists from distant places like Japan, Germany and a few of us Americans who seek the solitude of desert night skies, the less hurried surroundings and the occasional informal conversations with native peoples / local artists & artisans. The landscape is very harsh. Yet - this is the land of the Hopi who retain traditions and cultural heritage and continue with a sense of community. I originally visited here in the mid-1970s. That was pre-Yelp.

It is very silly to write a Yelp review of a place that's nearly impossible to get a reservation…read moreat. But I do compulsively write Yelp reviews of everywhere I eat, so here goes. Location aside, the "hiker's stew" is genuinely an excellent stew. Good quality big chunks of beef and a really savory broth that lets you know just how long it was cooked. Some vegetables (corn) are likely canned, but that was both a minor issue and to be expected given the location. Overall it's genuinely very tasty. Salad was fresh but unremarkable. Cornbread was excellent. Cake was average. I do wish they had ice cream, but I understand the logistical difficulties there...

There's cabins and bunk houses that require a lottery 15 months in advance, which adds to the exclusivity of the experience. Steak dinner is offered by reservations only for $70pp U.S. From 8am- 8pm, there's a cantina open selling all the things you'd want while backpacking, including cold lemonade, beer, wine, snacks, and first aid items. This week, the canyon was bursting with color from all the flowers and vegetation growing after the heavy snow season. This was truly a special experience! The trail to Ribbon Falls/North Rim was closed at one of the bridges and the creek running too high to attempt a safe crossing, so we enjoyed a rest day and cooled off on the banks of the stunning Colorado River. We took pictures of the current ranch as big changes are underway with a new water system getting installed, which will impact access to the ranch for a while. Special mention to the staff, particularly Zach, who went above and beyond to show us hospitality. Also, best of luck to new hire Tyler as he settles into his new role at the ranch! The ranch is currently short-handed, and some of the staff are really feeling the stress, which is starting to show in their interactions with guests. Remember to be patient and kind. The bottom of the Grand Canyon can't be an easy place to live and work.

I had eggs, potatoes and bacon. No complaints and price was under $15. The view was worth that and more. I have mobility issues but the park was very cane friendly, wheelchair maybe not so much but easy access at the overlooks by the road. The angel window trail would be an easy wheelchair ride as long as you don't go out on the point but several good vAntage points. If you need gas the station in the park by the campground is actually the cheapest within 100 miles. Park service regulates the price. My only complaint is there are no large sizes in tshirts. Other than that an excellent experience

Maybe that's the difference vs many of the lesser reviews. It's the GRAND CANYON. It's unfortunate so many people blast the staff for not being 5 star providers. The staff we've encountered have been exceptional. They respond to anything we need. They are super friendly. Once our room needed towels. So we asked. They provided. Once our room wasn't ready. So we waited. But it's the GRAND CANYON. Not the Four Seasons. Dare I suggest you stop looking at your phone, and you look around at the beauty formed over millions of years. 2023 our reservation was delayed by a month. The water main broke due to the amount of snow the area received and they had to restore the pipes. It's not unfortunate it happened. It's amazing they resolved it in 4-6 weeks! Seriously. If you're booking here to get the best latte at the cafe, or to have the best Chardonnay of your life, or the strongest WiFi you've had, do yourself a favor, drive to the south rim, get a helicopter tour, leave the same day, get a 5 star hotel in Phoenix. Otherwise, look around, enjoy the VIEW. Inhale. Exhale. Relax. Give the staff a break. They're doing their best. Season staff are hard to get in a remote location like this. I will say. After hiking in this year, the pepperoni sausage pizza at the cafe was the best I've had in my life. Maybe partially due from the condition we were in from hiking. But it was GOOD.

We were in Yavapai West, which is the older section, it's more like a drive up roadside motel. There are six single story buildings in a circle. We were in building six. At Yavapai West, no matter what building you are, you park just feet from your car Yavapai East is. The newer section, it is two story, more like a brand name motel, and it is a bit more modern. Saying that, we were very happy where we were The room had a coffee pot, a microwave and a fridge, the TV got a good number of channels, the Wi-Fi was a little bit slow, but was still fast enough to stream video. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything including the bathroom was spotless. We paid approximately $400 for two nights, but hey, we were extremely close to the south rim of the canyon in summertime. Those are summertime prices. If you stay at someplace like the El Tovar, you are going to pay a lot more. The lodge itself has a gift shop, it has a Starbucks, it has a cafeteria, and it has the Yavapai Tavern. It also has an area where you can do some work, like on your laptop, if you need to The food at the cafeteria is good. the Starbucks, hey, it's a Starbucks, you are going to pay a bit more because you are at the canyon. The tavern had excellent food. Right across the parking lot from the lodge is the general store, it has gifts, it has sundries, and it has groceries. The people that are camping come for the groceries. I didn't care for it, because the one time I went into the store, I was just going to buy something simple like a candy bar and a soda. Out of all of the registers, only two of them. Were open, and there were like six or seven people in each line. They didn't even have a self check out which could've helped. I just left. It is a good place to stay, and again, you are in the park and close to everything. We would stay there again. Thanks.
