I ordered a car to drive my son from ROA to our home at SML and then to pick him up today, Saturday, to return him to the airport. I provided the guy my credit card and he assured me all was perfect for the 5:30am pickup today. I am glad I called to confirm, as they had no record of the scheduled ride - this is after the gentleman I spoke with assured me of the pickup, the time, and got my credit card and contact number. Fortunately when I spoke to Steve yesterday he apologized and we re-booked. This morning at 5:30am, no driver showed up. At about 5:40am the driver called to say he "got held up" and was running late. By the time he got here it was 5:55am and in rainy weather my son barely made his flight before they closed the doors to the plane. It was really poor service all around. Unfortunately this is the second time since Labor Day that this has happened as I booked a ride for my son-in-law from ROA to SML on Labor Day weekend and the exact same thing happened with me calling to confirm and there were no details saved - same exact story. I am planning to post this on yelp and other ratings sites as this is too much and really inexcusable. Should not be that hard to simply take instructions down for a ride as that's what you do - it should also be reliable and not risk missing a flight because a driver slept in by accident.
