The place was empty but we reminded ourselves that dinner starts a bit later here. We were greeted with a complimentary Ouzo shot (which continued to be refilled) & started with the Tarama. The dip came in 4 scoops and was pink. Although I've never seen pink Tarama, It wasn't the best Tarama that I've ever had and was okay. (But wouldn't order this one again) We also ordered Spanakopita which we enjoyed. For main, we had the "grilled meat for one"which was excellent (tasty grilled chicken, pork & Gyros!) but is really "Grilled meat for 2 or 3." We ended up sharing this which was a good idea as we couldn't finish it. After dinner, we received complimentary Cognac, espresso and dessert (fruit, yogurt) which was a nice touch and the restaurant was packed by the end of our meal. The staff, even if sometimes a bit slow, is really friendly and always makes good suggestions and tell you what is on offer that day. The place is cozy and the atmosphere is the place is really friendly and it's almost always full. But it is of course the good food, we always come for. They have really good starters, we especially enjoy the taramas which is delicious. Pretty much all the main dishes we have tried so far were great. The meat is always fresh and really tender, fish was also always really tasty, the moussaka is really good, etc. In general we really enjoy returning here every time and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys greek cuisine.

The servers are very attentive (and some, quite attractive;-) I never experienced a long wait and everybody is treated like family. At the end of your stay they even send you home with a little something on the house (coffee,ouzo,whatever you like)... The homemade fries are worth a special mention and so is the honey and walnut yogurt. The backroom can be hired for special functions. It used to be quite grim, which is no longer the case. The interior is still rather classic but not as conservative anymore, it is a bit more polished and colourful. Debit cards are accepted, and the managers just as friendly as they were ten years ago. Can be a bit busy and slow at times, and it isn't quite as cheap as it was in the past, but highly recommended. A place that delivers consistent quality and hasn't lost its appeal and character in recent years.

However, we were treated well starting from the reservation and until we left the restaurant. Extremely friendly and pleasing. Now to the food. We had the mix cold and warm entree, which had a large selection of both and was quite good. We took a looong time going through it slowly with a bottle of wine and wasn't pushed to hurry up. We then had the special of the day, which was grilled Dorado with sides and a mix grill. Both super delicious! The carafe of Greek white wines were well matched. In general we were offered a very professional yet relaxed service and were made welcome. The food lived up to our expectations and so did the ambient.

Impressed by the variety of dishes on the menu, my girlfriend and I enjoyed a full 3-course dinner with plenty of wine for less than 45 euros. Every dish was superb, and had that 'cooked for hours and hours' taste that you usually only find on Greek holidays. Yes it's a bit of a trek (Hermannstrasse station is a 15 minute walk away)... but well worth the effort!
