I made the mistake of hearing Ms Griffin for a divorce with no childen and was charged $20k. When you hire this office for a divorce you're not just hiring Ms Griffin but multiple paralegals that are incompetent and you end up not only paying for their mistakes but you'll be double charged by a lawyer and a paralegal through out your divorce. You will end up bending over backwards to provide years of documents and information only to have the paralegals leave info out of documents and Ms Griffin asking you to text her pics of the papers that the paralegals failed to include during your mediation. Ms Griffin is rude and gets very upset if you question where your money is going or a explanation of chages. I hired Keiko back in May of this year when I was unexpectedly sued for custody of my children by their father. It was a long, stressful, and intense process. From the beginning I didn't know what to expect. I was nervous, anxious, and scared for the most part. There are ups and downs during the whole case. Towards the middle of the case I didn't feel like I was getting what I needed to as far as representation. I communicated that to Keiko and she quickly went into action. From that point forward she fought my case with zeal and zest and went in full force each and every time. I could never gauge what the judge was going to do because it seem like he was bias towards my kids father and at times I really felt like he was leaning in that direction. At the final hearing, my ex's attorney went first and had this notepad about five pages long and I remember thinking to myself wow! He came prepared and was going to try to assassinate my character, which he did try. Then I looked over at Keiko and she didn't have a notepad and I thought to myself "what kind of damn closing argument is she going to do but he better be good." Keiko is closing argument was so strong and so good I couldn't have done it better. She had no no pair maybe just a few notes on her phone but it all came from the heart. She gave a closing argument so strong and fought for my children as if they were hers. No notepad needed, no concoction of alternative facts needed, no grandiose thoughts and ideas needed, just plain ol facts and heart. I have to add this and say if the judge would have ruled any other way than in my favor, it would have been no fault of hers. I was satisfied with the expectations that I set forth and how she carried them out. I think Keiko did an excellent job representing me and my children and therefore we won. My children got to remain with me where they have always been and where they needed to be. The only thing I would add would be to make sure that you clearly communicate your expectations regarding Focus areas and what you would like to achieve as far as outcome of your case. Communicate thoroughly throughout your case and ask quite often about billing so that you know what's going on. But be careful because every piece of communication is going to cost you so I would recommend collecting all of your thoughts and communicating everything that you need in one email as opposed to small things each and every time. Keiko Griffin has been the attorney of my dear friend, who has still two kids at home and got sued for custody on completely false claims by the 'father' and with clear intentions to hurt his ex wife (and dumb enough, of course his own children). One of the children has Down Syndrome and had recently been diagnosed with brain cancer. So the situation for any mom was simply unbearable already. On top of this, this misguided lowlife of lowlives suing an exceptional mom simply to make her life miserable, and just as much that of the children, was absolutely pathetic to see. The attorney Keiko Griffin has shown through a series of court proceedings (the Texas court system with regards to custody is another issue in this state) that the 'father' of their children had systematically lied all through the custody trial and that his intention were not to protect his children, but to intimidate, harass and get even to his ex wife in his own twisted, disgusting, self-centered way without regards to the impact on his children and completely throwing the wellbeing of his own kids to the wayside. Miss Griffin has exposed this con-artist beautifully and let the 'father' wrap the cord around his own neck, so he could hang himself in his own words.As far as I am concerned this monster belongs in jail for his ill intent and lies in court and putting the well being of his once family at risk. Looked my daughter up and down and judged her based on her physical appearance...piercings and tattoos ...said she didn't take payments but yet people on her own website said that she did pro bono for them and also worked with another client because of their financial situation...this woman is not the compassionate, caring professional that she claims to be on her website!
