It's big, which means it's hard to cook through without it being overcooked on the outside, but it was perfectly done. The outside is lightly seared and all of the inside was evenly cooked. There are no sauces, it's just pan fried in its own fat. It reminds me somewhat of a good hamburger steak but juicier and bigger. Based on the pictures of the other dishes I see here, this is where I want to live.

All in all, this…read moreis my first review, and the reason I opened up this account is to share the miserable things happened when we visited this restauant with my guests the other day. We had reserved a table for 8, for a night out with friends eating fish. 2 of our friends didn't show up at the reserved time (19:30) since they were coming from Darmstadt, and the way took a while. We told the owner that they will arrive soon, since he had started pressurizing us to give the seats for other customers. We tried not to care much to the typical non-local behavior of the owner at this time. He was very rude in his communication, treating us like garbage. He yelled at us telling that we are preventing him of making profits (!) and that it is not him, but us, who should care about customer service. We were already pissed off, when our Sardellen came and weren't fresh. We tried to change with something else, however the rude owner once again told us that we would be charged for both dishes, and it is our bad luck if the fish did not come up to be fresh! Although I see some positive reviews here, I wanted to warn people who wants to have fish during pleasent evenings to avoid this place at any cost. What kind of a damn customer service is this?!

Then silence for 30 minutes. No one took my main order and I finally went to the owner at the till and informed him that I was leaving since there was no service. ( the place as less than 20% full since it was Sunday night). The owner shrugged and said I could pay and leave. That's it ! Wow! I don't often leave negative reviews but this place is a waste of your time. Life is too short for such a crappy experience and such inattentive service/
