Bar in the evening is pricey like most hotels. Rooms are simple and clean with small balcony or patio. European modern bathroom. Free Wi-Fi that works reliably until you hit a 100MB session limit. Can be frustrating. Front desk resolved...but why the hassle? About 16€ taxis ride to/from Apeldoorn Train station. 10 mins. Train ride to/from Schiphol Airport is 1:10 hours. Taxis driver indicated one of the better hotels in Apeldoorn. Dinner is two seatings. We chose for our dinner to walk instead to downtown, a good 1.5 miles. Notable Attraction: Next to Het Loo Palace, meaning "The Woods Palace", a state museum to be on your visit list.

And the most important of all is that the food was great! We had a 'Tosti' and it was so delicious that I'd only fly this way for the tosti alone! The staff was friendly and nicely dressed. As it was game season, we all had a game themed courses, the quality of which could measure to a 1-michelin star restaurant (they really know their game here). The friendly service and cosy atmosphere and liveleness of the place however would make you feel at easy as if you were in a pub (I mean that in a good way). Side dishes were plenty and inexpensive (EUR 2,5 foe flemish fries) and the dessert was superb. I was most impressed by the wine list however, which featured some impressive editions of famous wines at very reasonable prices. I ordered a bottle of excellent 2007 Chateau-neuf-du-Pape (peaking in the current year) for EUR 44,5. Simply superb. I would come back just for that!
