I hired this company to build a back porch with roof, and to do interior remodeling living room, kitchen, and hallway . The porch roof leaked right over top of entrance door, and the rain runoff gutter. This company made several attempts to remedy the roof leaks and I did a leak test with a garden hose and it appears to not be leaking as of now. The first big hard rain may tell another story. The interior remodeling consisted of removing carpet and padding down to bare floor in living room and hallway, the kitchen had linoleum over it. This company was to also remove ole wood paneling and replace with Sheetrock and laminate flooring on floor, as well as replace windows and doors trim, baseboards, and to install backsplash underneath the cabinets in the kitchen . During the installation of Sheetrock it was not cut to fit properly, the drywall tape had humps in it, and all the light switches and outlets was cut jagged and too large also recessed inside the wall instead of taking the time to move the boxes 1/2 inch to be flush with the Sheetrock. This was corrected somewhat still unsatisfactory. After hit and miss painting the Sheetrock, drywall tape humps everywhere due to improperly taking the time and effort to smooth the tape down and applying the 3 needed coats of drywall compound to smooth out the tape humps. A total painting disaster to the new walls installed. The backlash was improperly installed overlapping the window trim in the kitchen. This caused the window trim to be around 10 inches short , and no window seal was installed. After laying the laminate flooring down this company completely covered 2 of the 4 Heat/Air vents with laminate flooring. On discovery in the kitchen it was fixed. Upon discovering another vent completely covered in the living room yesterday with laminate flooring. I will have to hire another contractor to correct this issue, as I cannot get in contact with this company. As you can see all the incompetence, lack of pride, and integrity of doing a good job I cannot give this company any favorable reviews, and would warn anyone looking for a contractor to stay as far away as you can from hiring this company that cuts corners by buying the cheapest products without allowing me and wife to even pick the paint and laminate flooring out, try rushing the job up, and lack of business skills as well as work skills..

A rear deck that demanded a lot of know how. 16 foot square. We had a lot of rain during the week it was being done but it was done as promised and what a job!!! We hired Tuttle's to remodel our home on January 13th and ended on March 13th. The original…read moretimeframe was 3 weeks, but we did add items that increased the estimate to 4 weeks. It eventually took 9 weeks but many items were left undone. We were repeatedly told that they would take no other jobs until our project was completed. Based on their Facebook postings, they were doing other jobs the entire time. After the first few weeks, their workers would not consistently show up. We would contact the Tuttles and they would promise workers would come and they just wouldn't show or would be here a brief time and be called to another job. Due to lack of supervision and attention to detail, there was a lot of rework. They did a lot of good work and we felt the prices were fair, but they failed on the finish work. After all the time and money we have spent on this remodel, their finish work was sloppy and incomplete. We felt they had no respect for our home or property, since they repeatedly took plastic off of our louvered closet doors that we put up to prevent dust on our clothes and personal items. They broke our bed frame when they moved it, broke the mirror supports on our dresser, scuffed and scratch wood steps in our stairwell, scratched our dining room table and left our home dirty and covered in dust. When we informed the Tuttle's of these issues, we were accused of lying, even though we sent them photos of all the issues. We asked them to come and do a final walkthrough to reconcile the contract amount owed and they claimed they had already done a walkthrough. However, if they did, it was without us in attendance. it was our understanding in the beginning that we both would be in attendance for the final walkthrough. When we tried to schedule the final walkthrough in order to reconcile the remaining balance of the contract, with all parties in attendance, they refused to come over stating that since we fired them, they would not come over. After trying to get the contract balance fairly reduced to cover these remaining issues that we would have to pay someone else to finish, we were told that "any inexperienced home owner could finish the work in a short amount of time." We promptly paid the final invoice. Tuttle's started out great and ended in disappointment.
