They claim to offer "satisfaction guaranteed," but in reality, they only care about getting paid. Once the job is done, you are on your own. Here is what happened with our new metal roof installation: Complete lack of communication: Just four days after the job was finished, I messaged them with a concern about exposed shingles and a gap in the metal panels. I was told someone would come out. Nobody showed up. I messaged again--crickets. Only responded to public pressure: They completely ignored my private messages until I posted a negative review. Suddenly, they cared enough to respond. Faked an "inspection": We specifically asked them to coordinate a time with us so someone could be home to show them the issue. Instead, they drove by, didn't even pull into our driveway, snapped a picture, and drove off. Insulted our intelligence: After their drive-by "inspection," they tried to claim the area wasn't part of the roof and told us a gutter belonged in that spot. That area is on the uphill, sloped side (gable/rake edge) of the roof. Anyone with basic knowledge knows gutters go on the lower eaves, not the sloped rake edge, because water runs downhill! The rake edge requires proper drip edge flashing and trim to keep wind-driven rain out--not a gutter. Dismissive attitude: When we pointed out that you can visibly see exposed shingles and gaps where water can easily be blown under the new metal, their dismissive response was, "Well, your roof hasn't leaked, has it?" The roof didn't leak before they worked on it either--that is no excuse for sloppy workmanship and exposed underlayment. They acted like we were stupid for bringing up a very legitimate installation flaw. If they had simply shown up when they said they would, listened to our concerns, and properly flashed the edge of the roof, this could have easily been resolved. Save yourself the headache. They preach customer satisfaction, but they do not deliver.

Elliott Heating and cooling refuses to fix my two year old Heat Pump after I have paid them…read more My name is Jason Coleman and I bought a $5000 Trane Heat Pump 1 winter and 2 summers ago. When I turned my heat on this year it would cut on and off randomly. I replaced the thermostat and wire with equipment rated to work with my heat pump but it still did not work. I called Elliotts and they said they would send someone out. I was home for lunch when the first guy came out and saw what he said was a bad board withing seconds but then I had to leave for work. He replaced that board and told my wife the thermostat was wrong and charged us $120 (that's 1.5 hours) to not fix anything. I called back and they sent a second guy, he also said the thermostat was the problem and a bad solder joint on another board but that we would have to pay again if they replaced it under warranty. I have replaced the thermostat and fixed the bad solder joint and it still doesn't work. Phillip at Elliotts is telling me I still have to pay them $80 and hour to come back out even though they still haven't actually fixed anything. He even had the nerve to ask me "If you took your car to the garage you would expect to pay them for their time right?" I would not expect to pay for it if they did not fix my car. This last call (forth time) I tried to speak with someone else only to have Philip inform me that the "buck stops with him" and have him hang up on me. I actually thought dealing locally would be better, this has been a $5,000 lesson. I will not deal with Elliotts again.

They left the "left-over" metal, which was nice, in case we ever need it. The only complaint I have is that at the same time, we were doing a renovation of one of my bedrooms. I had removed the baseboards (antique 9 1/2" baseboards) to repaint. One of the larger pieces came up missing. I believe (no proof) that they used it under the roof. But I found replacements in the closets, so it came out well in the end. I would recommend this company.
