No islands but plenty…read more of booze I've always wondered about the name of this place since it is quite a distance from the water and there are no islands that I know of around the area. It does has a nice, brightly colored sign on the outside and various stuff in the store to give kind of a vacation and island feel. A bit odd considering it is kind of in the middle of the damn woods. Whether or not you care about the pseudo pelagic look it is a nice place to buy some booze. Island Packy has a fine selection of beers from local breweries and around the world and plenty of other inebriates to satisfy the most ardent debauchee, Plenty of parking and the lot is situated so it's easy for hungover customers to to get in and out. The service was pleasant even if the young lady working there had absolutely no idea why this sylvan place was called Island Packy. A nice place to quickly get some booze and then get on your way again. It's never been crowded when I've been by and they've always seem to have plenty of what I desire. Not a lot in this area and Island Packy serves it's purpose well. You even get to see some fake, plastic palm trees.

I asked once if they would order my favorite vodka, told them what it was and was told, "We'll see what we can do." They didn't order it. I started going to Griswold Discount Liquors and I 'm so glad I did. The owner knew my name by my second visit and ordered my favorite vodka right away. They had it within a week. Lisbon Package may be convenient (right on I395) but I have NO problem going out of my way for much better service. A nice small town feel.
