Checking out the Christmas lights every holiday season always brings me joy. A family home display…read morethat should not be missed is the Soflo Christmas house in Hollywood near the Seminole guitar hotel. The family who own the home moved there in 2001. Each year they added a bit more to their holiday decorations. In 2006 they purchased their first control box to synchronize the lights to music. The display grew and they have been featured in the Miami Herald, South Florida Sun Sentinel, and on television. The Soflo Christmas house is on a corner so it is decorated to the nines on two sides with 50 inflatables, decorations, Christmas trees, and 250,000 lights synchronized to music every 30 minutes on the half hour and hour. During part of the show the inflatables are deflated to better see the lights. Although the show is free, the family that runs it accepts donations for St. Vincent de Paul food for the poor. An honorable mention goes to the house directly across the street that has the spirit too with a ton of lights and a yard full of inflatables. As of today, Mar 2025, still no refund. I've been told the money is in my account with them for future jobs. WTF! I told them there would be no future jobs. They installed my lights Holiday 2022 the week before Christmas when my contract stated before Thanksgiving. Nick promised 2023 installation would be early to make up for 2022. I never should have trusted him or the company. I'm still waiting for my return of $1750.
