There is also a small Rudolph the Reindeer display. They say you can listen to the music through your radio at 93.7 but I didn't try it. The display is running until January 1, 6-10 pm week nights and 11 pm on Saturday night. If you are in the immediate area you will definitely want to stop by.

My gosh - entering the space was like entering Santa's workshop. This store has every niche Christmas bauble as well as large presentation pieces, massive trees, Depr 56 and Lenmax villages as well as every type of light you could envision. And prices are very competitive. I wanted to buy my wife an item that was only available in the store but because of health issues, I couldn't travel the 1:45 to visit the store. Yet, my Christmas hero and e-commerce manager Melissa Gonzalez went the extra mile to post the item to their website so I could purchase it. My wife will be sooo excited to receive this gift. The ribbon wrapping area is in the rear and still under construction with more products and pricing coming soon. Met with a competent manager who explained the origins and concept of the business. Prices seemed a bit steep for the glass blown ornaments at $24.99, but the red thin glass balls were reasonable at $14.99 - also these were the larger size. Every single person I came in contact with was diligent and smiling. Some of the displays were huge and would require the front living room of a mini mansion. Five stars easy at this new location so take a peek if you are in Sunrise.

I am delighted to discover Moroney's which has quite a large collection of statuary, rosaries, books and paraphernalia for opening your own Church (think clerical vestments, large altar statuary, gold chalices and the like). I've been twice and liked the service but still feel they could offer more for home use in terms of small and inexpensive statuary - but as they are the only game in town that's close to work - I will be back!

Proceeds raised here benefit the church missions. For instance each week St. Ambrose puts on a spaghetti dinner to feed around 35 homeless persons at St. Nicholas Holy Grill. Church thrift stores are among my favorites for their low prices and this one is fantastic! There are four rooms filled with toys, furniture, appliances, clothes, accessories, home goods, and decorations. If you need some wall art this is the place to go. They have tons of inexpensive framed art work. I picked up a British castles china plate for only a $1. The staff couldn't be sweeter and even Father Gerard was on hand to help out. If you are in the area on a Saturday morning stop in and help out the church by donating your unwanted items. You may even find a treasure. Reduce, reuse, and recycle by thrifting for a healthier community and planet.

J & B Judaica carried all sorts of Jewish items including books, Seder plates, menorahs, yarmulkas, toys, art work, jewelry, novelty items, etc. A menorah in the shape of a cat caught our eye and we could not resist buying it. The place could be spruced up s bit with updated carpet and walls. You could tell by the MLB/NFL wall decals and team caroethat it used to be some type of sports place. I have never seen anything quite like this, but I'm really happy to have visited this decoration explosion. I had been longing to go to some kind of outdoor Christmas event since it's so warm here in South FL. The Hyatt Extreme Christmas fit the bill perfectly. This home is truly Clark Griswold's dream come true! We arrived with friends about 15 minutes before sunset since I was nervous about how the parking would be. We parked on the lawn, but it did get a bit busier by the time we left. It was stimulation overload with the plethora of festive decorations here, but in a good way. Once the lights came on it was amazing! The numerous decorations here are SO elaborate, I really appreciate the time and effort this family puts into doing this. I especially love all of the palm trees with the holiday lights strung on them. Being from NY, it makes my heart so happy to see this type of tree decorated for the holiday. It does get a little busy here, but I think it's worth doing. If you need a Christmas decoration fix, I highly recommend coming here to get into the holiday mood.

The Hyatt family decorates their house to the max and then opens the gate for all to see, They also collect donations for organizations, write letters to service members, and have crafts for the kids. If you have never been you will truly be amazed. There are lights galore, a Ferris wheel, Disney characters, snowmen, Santa and his sleigh, and a manager just to name a few of the displays. As much as I love to visit I have not done so much in recent years because of the war the City of Plantation has waged on the Hyatt's. The city has deemed the display to be a nuisance and took the Hyatt's to court to stop it. They lost and had to pay the family's court cost. The result of the fall out is that the city will attempt to ticket every car they can on Old Hiatus Road for illegal parking. Last year a local law firm volunteered their services to have the tickets thrown out and were successful. I don't know what is going to happen this year. If you are interested in the saga you can read more about on the family's facebook page. The house is in a residential neighborhood so parking is tricky. There is a small lot across from the house that seems safe to park in. I also saw a sign that was posted on the corner that said parking was a block away. I believe a church at one time offered safe parking. I opted to park on Old Hiatus Road with many other people that seemed to be far away enough from the police. I was worried about getting a ticket the whole time so it put a damper on the fun. Thankfully we made it back before the police reached us but I saw that was not the case for a lot of other people. Parking is at your own risk here. Next year the mayor seat of Plantation is up for election so if they get a new mayor sympathetic to the Hyatt's things may change. December 23 was the last night that the gates were opened to see the display for 2017. Lights go off for the year on December 28th. The Hyatt's do a great job of listing their hours and communicating with people through their facebook page. It's a shame that an amicable relationship can't be reached with Plantation. The Hyatt's clearly love Christmas and they share their joy with the community and especially children.

As soon as I entered I noticed how spacious the place was and all the wonderful scents. I love the way it's decorated. The employee was so attentive, charismatic, and funny. She is a good instructor too! She guided us through the entire candle making process. There's a huge selection of scents and bases to choose from. There's an entire wall of scents to choose from and the option of mixing two scents to create your own. The entire process was between 45 mins-1 hour. After the candle was done we had to wait 1 hour for the candle to set. I did not think it was expensive because the experience alone is worth it and we got to keep the candle.
