DAMPCO undertook extensive work at my property on the recommendation of my builder. It is a very busy street and I was legally liable for damage to persons or their property, eg. a woman passing by with a pram on her way to the school opposite the house. The builder finally got the owner of the company to come and view after missed appointments. He said the pipe should be re-routed and that was done. I paid the bill - around the £6,000 mark - immediately after completion of the job. However it then took 6 months for me to get a proper guarantee for the work. The reason this was important was that I had been told that the water pump needed servicing every 6 months and I wanted to ensure that I maintained the conditions of the guarantee. The builder thought that this was rather frequent so I made many phone calls and sent recorded delivery letter to ask about the need to service and the cost from DAMPCO. No reply ever. The company has refused to answer questions and has clearly not shown interest or consideration of customers or aftercare of their products. This is a company which, once it has your cash, you may as well forget about. Damp proofing is a long term and expensive piece of work to undertake so do not take any risks.

He walked through the house with me and guided me through what needed doing. We went room by room, and answered all my questions in detail. Mace Electrical quoted and there was no pressure from them and gave me quotes for different options which was great especially on a budget. We had no doubt in the capability, professionalism, knowledge and approachability Simon showed us. Through the house rewire, Simon kept me updated and gave me options when small issues cropped up due to changes from other trades also working on the house, he had a great working relationship with other trades as well. We decided due to how Simon was, we went ahead and had extras done in terms of outside electrics to the garage, this was due to trusting Simon on his reasonable pricing. On the day of the rewire being completed, I had a walk through the house with Simon to have everything explained and shown the new changes, most importantly all certificates were sent direct to me by the end of the day. We missed him so much when we moved to Wiltshire that we asked him to come down and do some work for us here.
