I have been gardening for 20 years, some of those years as a professional, and I can't say enough good things about Groff's. Hands down, the best nursery I have ever been to and will continue to shop here for as long as my property has an open patch of dirt :) Locally owned and operated (I have seen the owner working every time I have been there), HUGE selection, great prices, and incredibly knowledgeable staff. Wear sturdy shoes when visiting as the property is rocky and on a hill. And FYI, they now take cards for payment. read more

I am a committed gardener, and I like and respect the Geoff family for being the same and bringing us gardeners their best at very fair prices. I HATE buying at places which don't offer market packs flats and tiny singles at good prices. Those companies are snickering in the "need it now and need it big" crowd and are often selling outbound plants at exorbitant prices. Do yourself a favor and deal with experienced and honest plantain and -women who offer you quality plants at good prices. Oh, and they have unique, new and exotic as well! This place is out of the way for me since I live in Delaware county PA but I go there at least once or twice a year because it is so good. The prices are very good compared to your local nursery or the big box stores and the selection of both annual and perennials is outstanding. They are not as strong in larger bushes and trees. This is a family owned place and they are completely knowledgable and helpful. Worth the trip. read more
