I didn't realize that for the other item, that we thought we bought a pack of batteries for, she actually opened and put generic Amazon batteries in. And in doing so she broke the plastic cap that keeps the batteries in. She never said anything to us about it and still sold it to us! How am I supposed to use it if there's nothing holding the batteries in?? And it wasn't a "cheap" item either which is more upsetting. Also not sure how much we were charged for the batteries since we weren't given a receipt. While in the shop we were comfortable and confident in what we purchased. The staff going out their way to check and replace batteries we appreciated but had us questioning the quality and age of their items. But the fact that they let us leave with a physically broken item, knowing we would not be able to return, is dishonest and disgusting in my eyes.
