When I first walked into Vera's I was greeted so warmly by the reception, namely Irene. The shop was super clean and looked fairly organized. I was paired with Tiara and I showed her a few images of dresses I tried on before with parts that I loved in each one. She picked out 3 dresses for me. What an eye she has! When I tried on the first one, I KNEW IT WAS THE ONE! It's like watching Say Yes To The Dress when brides just feel it's "the one". I tried the other two anyway and after both, I still felt like I needed to try the first one again. Joanna is a magician. The dress was a size 10 and she needed to take it in to a size 4/6. The final fitting was so surreal, the dress fit me like a glove. My dress is intricate with beading and lace and it's crazy how she was able to alter all of it seamlessly!! Because the dress was a floor sample, and not my size, it was at a better price point than a lot of other boutiques. I felt very valued here compared to other boutiques. If I had to recommend a bridal shop, I would highly recommend VERA'S!

Their seamstress, Nelly, is absolutely phenomenal and immensely talented; she went above and beyond by showing me exactly how to bustle the dress and letting me video the process so I would know what to do on the big day. Separately, she also used leftover bridesmaid dress fabric to create custom pocket squares for the groomsmen, and she executed them beautifully.

Okay, I wrote a glowing review at first because the process (not necessarily the prices) was so…read moreeasy here. However, the issues with the dresses once they came in for a number of the bridesmaids seemed to never stop. Let's start with quality. It wasn't good. Not only was my dress of poor quality and felt cheap (even though it was over $200). Some were fraying at the seems when we Got them. My dress had a slit that ended up ripping ON THE WAY TO THE CHURCH. I had it on for literally 5 minutes when it ripped. Next, sizing. Some bridesmaids' dresses were either too large or too small. I had to order 3 sizes larger than my normal when measured at this location at the employee's recommendation. No biggie but when the dress came in on man was there a whole lot of extra fabric. The chest area alone was so large that I could have stored snacks in there during the wedding if I left it as is. I had to get a seamstress to completely alter the top of my dress so it would fit, maybe taking out 2 inches from each side of the chest area, removing the cups all together and then having to figure out a way to roll over the fabric over the poor quality boning that lined the front of the dress as it created a weird rolling of the lining on the outside of the dress. It was almost a different top from when we started. Timing. We were told the dresses would come in at an estimated time frame obviously month out, time frame was like a few weeks grace period, and as that time neared the end, we still hadn't heard anything. They didn't return my calls about this but called the bride instead. She didn't give you her money for this dress, I did so I don't know why you were calling her back instead of me. From quality alone, I don't think I would order from this place again. I know they don't make the dresses but with the amount of issues from the dress once I paid for it just never seemed to end.

She berated and yelled at me , actually said " what is it you want me to do ?" avoided any apology or compensation for selling a used ,previously worn , multiple stained gown as NEW. SHAME Suite 201 in Ridgewood, NJ .. SHAME. Buyers, be ware ! If you choose to shop here , look at your potential purchase carefully. Disgusted with this owner !!! Cleaning and stitching reimbursement came in mail today . No apology.
