PROS: This is a new barnes and noble that I liked once I stepped in. The place is clean, organized, and the staff was friendly. Inventory is plentiful there's a Starbucks inside CONS: not much parking for a large store and naturally the prices are higher than other stores OVERALL: As long as you don't mind the prices this is a great barnes to go to. The inventory and organization is something that makes this place worth going to

Brand new, huge, and meticulously organized.

The new Barnes & Noble really hit it out of the ballpark with its new location. The organic modern design is top notch and the layout of every inch of the interior is vibrant. Every section of the store is well organized and there are large signs to guide you through the many sections. There is an on site Café, which has plenty of seating, with patrons either enjoying their selection and/or studying. Please, take time out and check out the new and improved Barnes & Noble. You will be impressed and satisfied with your experience.

You can definitely tell the store is clean and newly built when entering. It is stocked well, and you have all the different genres of books one would expect. The staff is friendly and approachable and popped by to ask me if I needed anything several times. They also have a great discount section if you are looking to save. We were able to take advantage of a buy one get one 50% off. However, there are a few drawbacks to the store. It is so oddly laid out as others have mentioned. It is like a maze, and there is no rhyme or reason to the layout. It took me quite a while to even figure out how to navigate back-and-forth through the different sections, and I had to pay close attention to the signs. You will have fantasy next to romcom woven next to art. Due to this maze like effect, you really can't easily figure out where to go unless you are familiar with the store. The other qualm, and just my opinion is that the café is not what I would hope in a bookstore setting. It is less café and more of a food court vibe. When I think of a bookstore, I like the idea of grabbing a coffee and sitting and looking through a book in a nook. That said it is definitely designed so people can easily access Wi-Fi and work from the store. I think I'm just missing the old school comfy vibe. Location is easy location to get to right off Route 17. You cannot miss it!

There is this employee that was rude on one particular day, a middle-aged caucasian male barista at this Barnes & noble pressured me to upgrade my coffee size from small to medium. As I was ordering, all I asked for was a small coffee. He then chuckled and said pretty loudly "what that's it? And are you sure you want a size small? it's such a tiny cup." As if to say I'm poor and can't afford a bigger cup or that he is assuming all I can afford is a cup of coffee and no food. But I wasn't hungry or anything, all I wanted was a cup of coffee to sip. Idk he might need some sensitivity training because some people may be budgeting or some people think they can swindle a few more cents out of people- which is bad practice and screams cheap. However, the interior and set up was pretty nice, with nice furniture. I just think it's creepy that you can get cornered here pretty easily with all its nooks and crannies. I like the old set-up better. This "new" set-up is copying NYC-style bookstores.

This is a beautiful new space, but it's a downgrade from the old location in Ridgewood due to the elimination of the used book annex. Sad.

New store beautiful but too spread out. Difficult finding the area you need. Miss the old store. Much easier to navigate.

Pretty cool store. I came across it by accident and I'm glad I did. It's pretty overwhelming at…read morefirst. Tons of stuff everywhere. Not easy to search through or get around but it's all about the dig. Pretty well organized as far as genre. I knocked a few things off my want list. Prices were pretty reasonable for the most part. I later found out there was a documentary about the store so I watched that and now I'm even more glad I stopped in. Seems like the store isn't doing great at the moment. I would hate to see it close so I will be making this a regular stop. If you're an old school collector, you'll enjoy it.

You'll need the right attitude for Flipside. The variety is immense (5 stars) which is why I'm…read moregoing back. But it feels like a hoarder's basement! The prices seemed high for playable records, I saw nothing under $20. All too many of the covers were badly worn or the records scratched, for these prices I think an album should be pretty outside & unscratched inside. Not everything is overpriced, there's also an enormous section of $1 albums, completely unsorted. The center rack is sorted by artist with sections for rock/pop, jazz and hard rock. But it's tough to get to that rack, all aisles are hopelessly cluttered with boxes of unsorted vinyl, packed so full that you cannot get past other people, stacked so tightly that you cannot reach the racks to flip thru, it's just unpleasant. If you're patient you may indeed find something you'll treasure. I bought a playable, non-collectible pressing of a 1985 rock album for $20, that was about the same as the fleabay price but here it was instant gratification and support of a local business. I was surprised this music business couldn't bother to play interesting tunes on a decent sound system, here it's just staticky radio through cheap speakers, meh.
