I've never seen a situation where a dog could not go in or out as he pleased (winter or summer). Our last dog loved to play with the owner's golden retrievers, in the large fenced yard. Our current dog is afraid of most other dogs, so he only goes out in the yard with quiet, non-threatening dogs that he isn't afraid of. Jeannie also makes sure to place him next to non-scary (to him) dogs. I have had nothing but good experiences here over many years, and will continue to bring my dog here. I'm terribly sorry for the first poster whose dog died, but that certainly isn't a common occurrence here. The kennel building is not attached to the house, but it is nearby, and the dogs do get checked on regularly.

They feed our dog as we instruct, and there is plenty of outdoor/exercise time, and our dog loves it there. We are reverse snowbirds, living near Bigfork in the summer and California the rest of the year, so when our 13-year-old Lab mix suffered a sudden, serious medical crisis, we needed to find a veterinarian quickly. Animal Care Clinic was able to fit us in the same day. From the veterinary technician who took Milo's history and vitals to the veterinarian, Dr Hockenson, who examined him, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, and respectful. The veterinarian was thorough in her evaluation and explained the situation clearly. Most importantly, she was honest. She discussed diagnostic options but did not give us false hope or pressure us into unnecessary testing. After examining Milo, I asked Dr Hockenson for her professional opinion regarding euthanasia. She agreed that it was the kindest option given his condition and supported us through that difficult decision. The staff first gave Milo a sedative so he could relax and be comfortable. Throughout the process, both Dr Hockenson and technician showed tremendous compassion. They gave us the time, privacy, and support we needed to say goodbye. We decided to try Tailwaggers since it is located behind a reputable vet. The minute I first walked in I knew we made the right choice. Lisa always immediately stops what she is doing to greet you and treats your dog as her own. Every time we have gone here our dog has had a perfect haircut and is safely secured in a crate when I come to get him. Lisa even texted my husband a photo of our dog during his first visit with her. I wish we had discovered Tailwaggers first when we moved here and I would recommend everyone to go here.
