The first time, my dog had a full coat of hair, so I expected it to take longer, and surprisingly they called me about 4 hours later. However, this second time, it was just a bath and a little touch-up, so I didn't expect such a long wait. As a service provider myself, I know how important communication is. Unfortunately, the person I spoke with on the phone was quite rude, which was disappointing. However, when I arrived, the groomer, kaitlin I believe was much nicer and more professional. I was told that puppies were prioritized, which made me feel like my dog's grooming wasn't as important, even though I'm paying for the service as well. Towards the end, I overheard a comment that it doesn't take 3 to 2 hours, which was frustrating since I'm not new to this. Because of how I was treated, I might not be returning. I had finally started again on grooming her prior to me doing it myself . It's unfortunate since I was recommended to this place and live 3 minutes away. The new owners price structure increased our dogs fee by 1/3 as they explained that they use a "master groomer." That supposedly decides what they will charge on the individual dog. I was able to make an appointment within a week of calling. We were worried about him losing weight and hair. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment and were taken back immediately. The vet tech (I'm forgetting her name) was so incredibly sweet and caring. Frank, our cat, was so comfortable and calm once he was out of his carrier and being loved on by her. Dr. Hackett is absolutely amazing. She was quick to come in after the vet tech and immediately began a routine exam on Frank with soft words and gentle hands, even a few jokes. She unfortunately felt a lump on his belly and called for an X-ray right away, which confirmed our fears. Dr. Hackett had tissues readily available for me once she broke the news. She delivers clear and concise information, with realistic outcomes. I didn't feel at all like I was being pressured into "trying different things" (uselessly throwing money at something we unfortunately can't fix). She was very kind and honest with me about the reality of the situation with Frank and I very much appreciated that. She gave me some solutions to make Frank more comfortable and how to spend the time we have left with him. This was not a routine scheduling issue--it was a failure to provide continuity of care at a critical moment for a patient they knew well. We were left scrambling to find help elsewhere under already distressing circumstances. Another veterinary provider took us in immediately, treated the situation with professionalism and compassion, and ensured our dog's final moments were handled with dignity. The difference in care was stark. We will not be returning. If you are looking for a practice that will be there when it matters most, this was not our experience.

I called 4 vets and no one could get me in and I was trying to avoid going to an emergency vet due to the expense. When I called Swift Creek the person I spoke with said they were pretty booked but that she would see what they could do for me and my dog. She came back in a couple of minutes and said they could get me if I could come in soon. I drove Buu straight there and they got us in. There was nothing serious but they gave him an injection that really helped him. He slept through the night and the next day no more vomiting. The price was a lot less than an ER vet. These people really care and they understood how important my Buu is to me! You deserve that kind of care and so does your pet! If I am ever back in Raleigh, I will find a reason to drop in!

He's recently developed some anxiety around vet visits, as a lot of pets do, but, with a little encouragement from me and the staff, he is usually able to make it through his visits and be fine. Unfortunately during our past couple appointments, the vet seemed to have very little time or patience for him, creating a stressful and unproductive experience for me and my dog. I understand that everyone has a job to do, but I'd rather take my baby somewhere with vets who are happy and willing to take the little bit of extra time to give him the care he needs and try to create a better experience for him. Sedatives are great for pets having a hard time, but I was made to feel like they wanted to sedate my pet as to not have to spend any amount of time making him feel comfortable and safe.
