I am so very glad I chose Waggerz for my two dogs' grooming needs. It was recommended by Just Dog People up the street. I got an appointment within 2 weeks (that's good compared to my former groomer). I am spoiled, I mean, Beau and Olivia are spoiled. I made sure in Massachusetts that I got them to the best, local groomer, but when I moved 25 minutes away, I STILL went to this groomer and skipped the big name salons. Waggerz is fun. The store front is filled with items to buy, and colors to pick if you want your fur baby's hair colored a little bit. I saw nail polish, too. I'm not into that, but if you are, make an appointment. I didn't get specific names, except the groomer that did my dogs, MacKenzie. She gave both of my dogs an incredible cut. And, they use good products that clean and leave a soft scent behind - nothing too perfumed. I hope you will give them a try. read more

Contacted them to schedule a full groom for my Shih Tzu and was told " So unfortunately we are not able to book you moving forward. Looks like you have a holiday missed appointment fee and it seems like you have been extremely rude to the staff and about our policies. We are no longer able to service you. Ive never actually brought my dog here, I scheduled here a few months back and canceled 48 hours before, where I spoke with a man and was told "thank you for letting us know" and asked if I'd like to go ahead and reschedule. At the time I didn't have a day in mind so I declined. Never did he mention a fee (which isn't an issue at all if that's their policy) I work in healthcare and we do the same with last minute cancellations. But being told I was "extremely rude" is CRAZY.. I don't know who's lying or if they've got me confused with someone else, but this NEVER occurred! We weren't rude or demanding--just making sure we knew what was happening with our dog. She warned that if there was "one more issue" with how we interact with the team, we would no longer be welcome. To be clear: asking polite, clarifying questions when entrusting your pet to someone's care should not be considered a problem. It's called being a responsible dog owner. Also worth noting--the grooming prices are inconsistent. The very first time we called for a quote, it was about half of what we've paid since, with no clear explanation for the increase. What stayed with me most was the lack of empathy. I sat quietly on the bench putting the dog's harness on, holding back tears, and not one staff member showed an ounce of care or compassion. The business owner spoke so ugly to my mom and aunt that she made my mom cry! She told them their dog was welcome back but not my aunt. In what world would you bring your dog somewhere you are not welcome? Let alone let them take care of them. My aunt has a disability, has had a stroke and in a wheelchair, and the owner said to my mom that my aunt is making her employees uncomfortable. A $65 grooming turns into a $100+ grooming due to their dematting fees. I brought 2 dogs in for grooming to be SHAVED and they charged me an outrageous amount for dematting even though I wanted them shaved to begin with. I went to 3 AI sites and asked the following..."if I plan on shaving my dog who is slightly matted, do I need to remove the matting first or can I just shave him?" Google Gemini "It's generally not recommended to try and remove severe matting before shaving" & ChatGPT "If your dog is slightly matted, you can shave the dog without fully removing the mats first, but there are a few important things to consider before you proceed" and finally Microsoft Copilot "When You Can Shave Without Removing Mats: The mats are not too tight or close to the skin. You're using a powerful clipper (preferably professional-grade) with a short blade, like a #10 or even a #7F. The dog's skin under the mats is not irritated or inflamed. In these cases, you can typically shave under the mats, lifting them off with the blade safely." HaHaHa... What a joke and nice try Waggers. The owners response did not address what I said. My wife has been taking our two dogs to Waggerz Groom Room for quite some time, but after her recent experience, we're never going back. She had an appointment at 11:00 AM and left early to make sure she'd be on time. Unfortunately, she didn't know that the freeway exit near the groomer was closed for construction. She ended up having to drive an extra 6 miles just to turn around, only to find the next exit was also closed. By the time she finally navigated through all the detours, she arrived at 11:20 AM, completely stressed out and in tears. When she walked in, visibly upset, the staff showed zero sympathy. Instead of being understanding, they informed her that because she was late, they would charge her a $65 fee. To make matters worse, they couldn't even fit our dogs in that day, so we'd have to reschedule and pay for the grooming services separately--on top of the $65 fee. My wife, already overwhelmed, was devastated by their lack of compassion and left in tears. We understand that we were late, but we've been loyal customers for years, and the way this was handled was completely disheartening. Charging a $65 fee when they couldn't even fit our dogs in and expecting us to bring them back and pay for a full grooming later? That's not how you keep customers coming back. The horrific lack of empathy is something we won't forget. I have never been spoken to, like I was today dropping off my dogs. My schnauzers were just groomed at this business in June, the lady up front said they were matted and would have to be shaved. I disagreed with her, and agreed for them to go ahead and do what they needed to do, she told me to just take the dogs with me, if I was not coming back, the groomer was not comfortable grooming them. She said they would not just trim them or wash them since they claim they were matted. I think they are just lazy. My baby skint from head to toe. Her ears were even shaved and they were silky smooth. She didn't have Matt's like they tried to claim. It was just a way to get more money from me. She was so bad that she looks like a different dog! I brush and comb her every day even the morning of the cut twice to help them out to make her silky for her cut. Even gave a tip. l gave the business a rating of 1 a year ago due to the numerous run-ins with the redhead that thinks she has to argue / get defensive when a customer inquires about something and could never just say; We will do better next time. l had asked about why my dog's nails had not been done to another employee and redhead jumps in to say - Well you know he bites when we do his nails..... ummm nope had never been told that before. I took my dog to this place a few times and eventually I missed an appointment, because of an emergency with kids. I called a few hours before the time of the appointment but the rule says 24h. I called them and they informed me I would have to pay $ 32 because I missed the appointment. I was ok with that. I knew about this fee. So I told her : "ok, I'll pay that. Can we schedule a new appointment ?" Answer was : No, you can't schedule an appointment until you pay this fee for no show. This alone was a reason for me to do not go back to the place. It didn't make sense. I was saying I was going to pay it in the next appointment. But my wife considered we should be tolerant, she went there, paid the fee and scheduled a new appointment. Our dog went there for a few more times and we ended up missing another appointment where we did not have a chance to call 24 hours in advance. There we go again paying that fee. At this point my wife and I were ok with that. So my wife called them and they informed once about the fee, she said she knew about and she was willing to pay. As they talked the person from Waggeerz Groom Room mentioned several more times about the fee. This time they were willing to schedule the appointment but were non stop repeating that a fee would need to be paid for the previous missed appointment. Almost at the end, after hearing several times about the fee my wife told her "Again, I`m ok with paying that". Then they hang up the phone on my wife. Rude ? Yes, definitely. People there are rude, simple as that. They have an obsession about fees for people who can`t communicate 24 hours in advance and even if you tell them you are willing to pay, they will give you a hard time. A very clean, professional store front, and friendly folk even in the face of COVID. But where it really counts is with my pup, and Waggerz shined (so did my dog). I'm actually not a local resident but rather am visiting from Colorado, and on the road trip my dog had way too much dirty fun. Being only a year and a half old, this was her first real grooming. Waggerz got her to be soooo soft and smelling wonderful, and my puppy was not traumatized in the least. Her nails were done perfectly which I've had other groomers not do as well. I took my dog to wagers groom room and they didn't cut her hair correctly. I took her back to get corrected and they refused. The reason they refused was because every time they groom your dog they leave space for a little review on their website so I told them that they're increase in price was ridiculous because it went up to $96 to groom my dog who is a 16 lb dog she does have dremeled nails and a purple tail however they did not cut her hair correctly it was parted in the middle and hung down on the sides she looked like Moe from The Three stooges. So I called twice to get her fixed and they never call me back so I went in and they said you said that you were going to find another groomer so we don't feel comfortable fixing her because we can't make you happy. I told them I just paid $96 for them to cut my dog and it's their responsibility to make me happy by cutting my dog correctly. In the end they still didn't cut her correctly and we parted ways. Should have known right then it wasn't going to go well. Woman said my dogs coat had some matts in it but really just had some tougher areas on her back side to comb through because she's an F1b golden doodle. Gave me every excuse and said she could get shaved down but I was welcomed to leave and take her back home with me. Quite rude about it too. OK, I get it. You are too busy to deal with it. We were looking for someone to groom our three dogs. One dog had special issues. She was a rescue - had been abused and neglected and previous owners had not kept up with her nails. For this reason her nails were long but couldn't really be cut because her quicks were so grown out. Poor thing would slide on our hardwood floors. Everywhere we went, including her vet, said there was nothing they could do. They could trim them but nothing of substance. When I asked her vet what we should do because she was slipping and sometimes would take a fall. Her solution was to cover the floors with rubber backed mats. I emailed Waggerz to get pricing and explained the situation with Abby. They replied that they wouldn't be able to really cut them but could trim and then grind them. I was hopeful that it would be enough to keep her from slipping and to cut down on the annoying click, click, click every time she walked. The other two dogs were rescues as well and needed "the works" because they were looking very scraggly. Neither of them like baths and I warned them of that ahead of time, We got there and the staff came out and made such a fuss over them. We knew we were leaving them in good hands. They did the trim and grind on Abby's nails while we waited and we are going to take her in every two weeks for this to help with the quick. Less than three hours later the salon called and said the girls were ready. They were bathed and had the deshed treatment, nails cut and a haircut. This is the prettiest our newest rescue has ever looked. The middle "child" had been groomed when we lived in SC but the haircut was awful so my husband was very reluctant to allow anyone to cut her again but even he had to admit she looked beautiful. I am so glad that Waggerz was recommended by a neighbor in our Facebook group. We don't need to look further. read more

First off, this was Tucker's (cocker spaniel) first visit to this groomer, and he won't go back. They made me feel like I wasn't taking care of my dog. If the issues were explained to me like "hey, you might want to take a look at this, this and this". Instead it was "this is a serious skin condition that really needs to be seen by a vet...he has gunk (exact word) on his feet, and they were trying everything to get it off...he's having a hard time getting dry, because of the skin condition...but I'm going to do the best I can" It was the tone. I felt like such a bad dog mom. When I went to pick him up, it was reiterated that he had a serious skin condition, not by the groomer, but by the girl that was up front. No one came out to tell and show me the concerns they had. When I got home, I didn't see anything on his feet? And he let me look at them with no issue. And didn't see the places on his neck, back and legs they spoke about. If it was that much of a concern, they should have shown me what they saw. He is seen at his vet regularly, and was groomed at his regular groomer 5 weeks ago, and NOTHING has ever been mentioned. We take care of our dogs...and I was made to feel that we didn't. If it was not meant to sound like that, then maybe you should watch the tone in which you speak to your customers. I left there very upset. read more

She boasted she has worked as a groomer for 20 years, and that I am free to find other groomer if i am not happy with the service. Well, DEFINITELY WILL NOT GO BACK! She then says to me, I didn't get the memo he pee's & says he wet my pants! Walks away & goes to attend to her pants leg (understandable). Well the receptionist was checking another dog in (that arrived prior to us), but no one bothered to take Maverick to the back so I could grab Jayce out the car. So I stood there over 5 mins waiting on her to return to get maverick. When she dies return the receptionist needs assistance with the other dog, so I said ok we leaving bc her Comment at the beginning wasn't sitting right with me! As a groomer, you get peed on & more! It wasn't until then that she addressed me again & informed me she had a right to clean her pants (which wasn't my issue). I informed her I would be contacting the owner, her response: I'll get her she's here! She goes back & I'my sure gives the owner her story. The owner then comes out & tells me: if you don't like how we do business then maybe you shouldn't do business with us! They do great work & the receptionist is a sweetheart, but those two DON'T!!!! Will never give this business another dime of our money. We had an appointment today for our furbaby and my mother-in-law's furbaby. I found out last night my partner's nephew has covid and couldn't call because it was after hours and didn't think in all the chaos to leave a voicemail and after working 14 hrs yesterday I didn't wake up at 8am to let them know as the manager said I should have done; however, I told them just before my furbaby having to come in. They wanted to charge me 30.00 for not being able to bring my mother-in-law's dog today. The manager kept having an attitude with me and lack of empathy of the fact that life presents itself with emergency situations and we are living in a pandemic. I was still willing to bring my furbaby in until the manager made me very uncomfortable to bring him in. I did let her know today would be the last time my furbaby would come there and she said "I'm surprised you still feel comfortable to bring him here today." Ugh, yeah...totally uncomfortable now, so I decided after that comment not to bring my furbaby in either. I have always gave a 24 hr notice in the past; however, sometimes life doesn't give you 24 hrs to tell someone of a cancelation. The manager could use some empathy and understanding and if she lacks those emotions, then it makes me now think she sure probably won't give it to your furbabies. I have been taking my 3 dogs here for rooming and baths since they opened. I will no longer visit this establishment. I scheduled an appointment for grooming of my smaller two for last week. I had the flu and called them and told them that I did and that we wouldn't be making our appointment. The receptionist immediately rescheduled me for Thursday. I still had the flu, so I didn't argue the point. Thursday came and went and I still had a 103 fever and the flu. When I called Monday of this week 10/28, I was informed that there was a $30 missed appointment fee for each pet. When addressed, they told me that it was posted all over the salon. That's great. Of course, when you are laying in bed with a flu. So, the search began to determine if this is customary practice for groomers in this immediate area-the answer is NO. I didn't find another groomer that charged No Show/No Call fees of $30. In addition, it is not listed on their website anywhere. I had myself and three other people review the website word for word. I understand business is business and had I signed something, if it were posted on the website, etc. I would understand, however, would still question this $30 fee as a full groom with bath, etc. is $45 for the size of my two, 13 and 18 pounds. When asked when the policy was in affect and if they required signed copies of this policies, their reply was "there's a note in our check out area (behind the desk) which prompts us to charge the client if there is a no show. This area, however, growing quickly is close knit and I would never want another customer to go through this. In addition, the young lady that answered the phone said to me "this is posted on the sign in form" If you are out with the flu and a no show after rescheduling per her pushing the date, not by my request. Rationale tells me that if you don't show and you are sick with the flu, you would not have access to this form, nonetheless, be able to sign it at check in. That is a big DUH. Bottom line, customer service may be okay if you never have this issue, but don't get the flu and neglect to contact them. All in all, had I rescheduled and taken them to Waggerz, I's be looking at $180 plus tip, when the normal groom fee is $45, there is a $15 fee for nail trimming and teeth brushing. I have found a highly reputable groomer 4.9 out of 5 stars with over 100 reviews. Their grooming charge is $45 and includes the extras that Waggerz charges for. read more
