On Wednesday, February 6Th, I took my Service Dog, TT, to a groomer for her bath. I went to a local and well recommended by Google groomer named Groomingdales of Satellite Beach, Florida. This is the result of what happened. They broke her tail off her spine. She had to have emergency surgery to amputate her tail. I immediately contacted the groomer. They took no responsibility for TT's injury and hung up on me. I don't want this to happen to anybody else's dog! Never have I met a woman so deluded, ignorant, rude and offstanding as Valerie. She has no right to be anywhere close to a customer facing environment. After looking at these reviews, and responses to the reviews I can see what her problem is, she's simply unprofessional to one of the Worst extents I've seen. We took our dog here for quite a while (year +) but realized we were having problem after problem. After the second ear infection and cuts in her ear flap we had enough and never went back. We also had consistent problems with whatever shampoo or perfume they use on the dogs. Every single time I dropped our dog off I would make sure to reiterate that she has sensitive skin and is a beagle, a breed highly sensitive to scent, and to please use an unscented or oatmeal shampoo without ANY scent. Without fail, she'd come home reeking of perfume and would have to be rewashed. Now we go to Aloha - our vet and groomer. read more

There is a new owner here; it is now called So Chic Grooming. I'm a retired groomer from West Palm Beach. Natalie is one of the best groomers I've seen in a long time. She is kind with animals, and they love her. I took my 15 year old cocker spaniel to her, who was frail and not eager for the whole process. Natalie was so good with her. Give this place a try, you won't regret it. My sister takes her Coton De Tulear there, and he looks amazing after the groom. She won't go anywhere else. read more

When I read the bad reviews about this groomer I got pissed off. It's all a bunch of lies. Maggie, Tracie, Zac, and Elizabeth are all phony names and all four of those reviews were put on Yelp by the same person that was paid to do the bad reviews. All those reviews are just plane crap. I have been taking my Shi-Tzu to Groomingdales since 2010 when I lived on Satellite Beach. Now I live up by Cape Canaveral and I drive 26 miles to take my dog to Groomingdales Pet Spa. My dog loves it there. When I take her there, she can't wait to get inside to see Valerie. Valerie also makes her look great and in 6 years I have never had a complaint of any kind. One time when I picked up my dog, Valerie told me that she thought Cassidy might have a bladder infection. I took her to the vet and Valerie was right. My dog did have a slight bladder infection. Thanks to Valerie we caught it early, before it became anything serious. I highly recommend Groomingdales Pet Spa because they handle the dogs with love and care. Your dog will love it there and that's very important. read more

Groomingdales is the only place we would take our Rottie! Valerie always does a great job grooming her, trimming her nails, and giving us good advice. Her shop is conveniently located, and she always makes time to fit us in. And our dog LOVES going there! read more

The worst. The owner said my Frenchie was incontinent so I took him to the Vet to be checked out. He is not ! He was so scared of the woman who groomed him, he peed! I believe it was owner ? The woman with the blonde hair was very rude ! Never again !!!! read more

DO NOT take your babies here!!!! Took my dog in for a groom and bath and while the cut is fine, he is covered in cuts and gashes!!! He has a deep gash on his neck that won't stop bleeding and a chunk out of his paw pad!!! and a scratch on his stomach! When they called to tell me he was finished, they MENTIONED NOTHING about the injuries!!!! When my mother went to pick him up for me, the groomer off handedly said, "Oh he had a scab on his neck and when I was grooming him it fell off." IT IS NOT A SCAB!!! It is DEEP and is clearly a gash from clippers as the skin is peeled back! She never mentioned the paw pad which was blatantly obviously because there is blood on the floor where he walks! I am livid and highly displeased with the service and cannot believe someone would treat my baby this way. This was supposed to be his "spa day" and reward and never again will we go there nor advise anyone else to go !!!! read more

Valrie was great to start but now I don't like her. I take my dog in to get a cut and she calls 30 minutes later complaining that there are mattes in my dogs fur. Then I say ok I'll come get her but she turns around and says that they are almost out. She even refused to groom her because of these "mattes." Just today, I brought her in saying that I need her to be done by about 10. Shop is completely empty. She says no that can't happen. In the past she would be done in 45-50 minutes. I gave her a little over an hour. She will seem nice but she's a drama queen. read more

I have been taking my dog to Groomingdales for almost 9 years and I can confidently say that they are the best groomer in the area. I have taken him to others when Groomingdales has been closed, and I always end up paying more and am always disappointed. The staff at Groomingdales are true animal lovers and it shows. It is just amazing to me how the majority of people only post reviews when they are not happy. You can not make everyone happy and at Groomingdales Pet Spa it is the dogs that come first not so much the people. If it is going to hurt the baby in any way they won't do it! They do not rush thru grooms they deserve a complete pampering spa day. For those whom want to bash them, go right ahead, they have a very large amount of clients that know how important their babies are to them and how pampered they are with them. NEVER AGAIN!!! Recently moved to the area and was searching for a groomer who had experience and patience to groom my male and female Bishon's. Our first experience with groomingdales was ok, although are dogs were shaved to the bone and looked like rats. It was explained that they were both matted and had fleas so it was imperative to provide a flea dip bath to begin the necessary treatment of flea prevention. Our pups never had fleas before but being in a new geographical location we took the groomers word and understood. Our second experience was a little concerning as the groomer immediately began to indicate our Bishon's were "matted" and she would do her best to provide a nice cut in a very condescending way. When we went to pick up our pups they were again shaved to the bone. The owner explained they were too matted so they had no choice but to shave them. I was furious as they didn't even bother to call and inform us of our choices. The owner proceeded to tell my wife that we should be bringing our dogs to her every 3-4 weeks to prevent my dogs from getting matted. Keep in mind we never had this issue with our previous groomers and we brush our pups with a special comb to assist the groomer and make it easier on our Bishon's. The owner is extremely RUDE and I believe forgets she is the GROOMER who receives payment for grooming pets. She does not follow the values she lists on her website and I will be sure to pass along to as many people as possible that Groomingdales is not the place I would recommend to take your pets.
