I love supporting local small businesses, so I found Clipper Cottage and decided to give them a try! Vicky, the woman who owns the place was super friendly over the phone and just as friendly in person. She was very accommodating as well, allowing my little pooch to get his grooming done in lightning fast time, as I had to be at work a few hours later! Now that's excellent customer service! I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. I was greeted not only by Vicky, but also by another woman (didn't catch her name), with smiles and warm welcomes. The other woman immediately scooped up my little pup and was cuddling him like a baby! I knew he was in good hands. When I went back to pick him up, his coat was beautifully cut and I knew instantly I'd found my new go to place for pet grooming! They did a fantastic job!!! read more

SO happy I found Clipper Cottage!! My baby has had two bad haircuts at another groomer. The owner sat with me and asked specifics on what I wanted and what lulu doesn't like(which is being brushed at all!) Lulu was so happy she was able to play with the other dogs and when I picked her up I was absolutely shocked at how gorgeous she looked!!! Vicky did an AMAZING job!!! My dog loves this place! I highly recommend them. They do a great job at a fair price. The dogs are not caged they let them all play until they are picked up. I've had very bad experiences with other groomers but no problem at Clippers Cottage. My dogs tail starts wagging when I pull into the parking lot. read more

I took my three fur babies, ranging from 20 - 135 lbs yesterday. I was warmly greeted by the owner and her assistant. I was asked about each dogs temperament, health and grooming request. I am in the Melbourne area until August with my two labs. After reading the reviews and wanting to support a local business, I found Clipper Cottage. I have now been there three times with wonderful results. Vicky and Holly are just great with the dogs and very accommodating with their personalities and needs. I took my yorkie to Clipper Cottage after being referred to them by my neighbor. I liked that they allow the dogs to play and did not lock them in cages. We were advised to drop her off in the morning and was told we could keep her there for the day if we wanted to at no extra charge. This was very helpful for me because I had to work that day. When we got there I first noticed the place looked and even better SMELLED clean. We were greeted by the owner Vicky and after doing the initial paper work told her the type of cut we wanted. When we returned to pick baby up she looked great!! She also appeared happy and smelled awesome! We will bring baby back and even spoke to miss Vicky about daycare so that Baby doesn't have to stay home alone every day by herself! I have a recently adopted Pekingese and began an online search for a groomer near me. I located Clipper Cottage, not the one closest to me but I read the reviews and was very impressed. It certainly lived up to my expectations and more. I spoke with Vicki, the owner/groomer on the phone and she was very friendly and informative. When I took Mattie in I also met Valerie, Vickie's assistant. She was very pleasant and professional, spent a lot of time determining exactly how I wanted Mattie groomed, and asking about Mattie's likes and dislikes. The dogs are not caged before and after their grooming, and have a large gated room with beds, toys and water. My Mattie is very social and she loved it, it was like a play date for her. When I picked her up she was beautiful, the grooming was perfect and she had little bows in her hair and a necklace that Vicki made. Vicki herself is very warm and friendly and Mattie took to her and Valerie immediately. I will definitely go back there for grooming in the future. read more

Took our dog here and the hair cut was not great. Parts were shaved way too short and then other pieces of hair were missed. Also, it took over 6 hours for her to be done which is kinda insane. The place does not seem clean and is very cluttered. I liked the idea of the no-cage policy but I was a little uneasy without having any vetting done as to the type of dogs that were there.
