In other words, for failing the reptilian vile test of behaving illegally as they do, without consequence. Far from receiving the consequences meant to be placed upon and suffered by those who behave illegally, these clever thieves brag openly in the same grandiose manner of the Emperor who displayed "The Emperors New Clothes" and after only a few brief moments of silent success, was treated rightly as the Fool he had proved himself to truly be.
