Once again I have to eat the words of my original review. I had a minor emergency around a month…read moreago and hasn't gotten around to sourcing a new doctor, so I called the dreaded North Hobart Clinic and asked the lovely receptionist to please not give me an appointment with the doctor on which I based my original review. The lovely receptionist Ruth was absolutely lovely about getting me an appointment with the doctor I'd first seen at the clinic, Dr Tait. And that's where everything suddenly went right for North Hobart Clinic and me. FRIENDS AGAIN! Basically Dr Tait, despite only working part time, is absolutely wonderful and a new hero of mine. She is kind enough to bulk bill for some visits (without prompting, more like a surprise when you go to pay) and is very good about discussing ongoing issues briefly over the phone. She made a really horrible couple of weeks for me just that bit better, and it was just the bit that I needed to keep going. (This sounds very dramatic--I'm not concerned with secrets, I had acute lower back pain. I was crying like a child. It wasn't fun.) Anyway, I'm pretty delighted to be able to change my review for North Hobart Clinic, though you shouldn't be surprised that this review is directed toward Ruth the receptionist and Dr Tait--and remains at four stars, not five, because not all the doctors here are as wonderful, IMHO.

After our return to SA was delayed my disabled partner made an appointment with Dr Roffe. At the…read morelast minute he refused to see him despite our supplying medical paperwork and an offer to contact our gp online or Skype. His reason - he had had enough of that sort of clients needs. My partner ended up in hospital due to his arrogant neglect.
