Price wise I think Jolleys is a little bit cheaper than chain stores like Pets at Home. Yesterday I was able to pick up a huge bag of puppy food for £3.99, having paid a few quid more a few weeks back in Pets at Home. As other reviewers have said it's a great lay out - the warehouse set up makes it easy to navigate and the isles are well labelled. There are bigger items on the second floor! All in all a great shop - shopping local at it's best!

Their in house vet was fantastic for giving advice and really put us at ease. Plus their store is well stocked for all manor of puppy requirements. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable and happily spend time giving a comforting wee cuddle to your dog to put them at ease. They sell a number of domestic animals, fish, hamsters and v cute rabbits, we wanted to take one of those home too but thought the the puppy would be enough! If you are looking to get your pet settled quickly and satisfied, this is the place to go to sort it out. My only gripe would be the groomers everything happens in a back room and you don't get to see the process, me being over protective would like to know what is going on, I could hear my pup doing a lot of barking, he was probably fine, and he was certainly in no distress when he came out looking all shiny and unsmelly!

The store itself is huge, and you can tell from the moment you walk through the door that it is a professional outfit. They sell all manner of pet food, bedding, accessories, cages, kennels, supplements, and even sell actual animals, such as fish, small rodents, and reptiles. The staff are really knowledgeable and always on hand to offer advice or answer any questions. They also have a vet on site who used to work at my local veterinary practice, so I can vouch for the fact that he is fantastic!

While they lack the romance and coolness of small pet shops, the larger shops have basically everything that you could ever need. This shop stocks everything for dogs, cats, small pets, fish, reptiles, birds, chickens, horses and general wildlife. The staff are always helpful and enthusiastic and really seem to know what they're talking about. The website is great as well and they offer free delivery on orders over £49, which is a really good service. This site is on the same retail space as Bloomfield Shopping Centre so there is lots of parking which is all free and there are lots of other shops about with excellent access to main roads and ATMs.

It's got fishies! Goldfish, Angelfish (with beards to rival Santa's), Guppies, teeny tiny little…read morefish whose name escapes me...lots and lots of fishies, though not a herring or tuna to be seen, thank heavens. Reminds me of my goldfish selecting when I was teeny tiny myself (haven't grown much since then), when I selected one male, and one female and named them Dixie and Dora (the Explorer stylee, though that was long before her time). The fact that we had no idea regarding the sex of each fish was completely irrelevant - I was convinced they were going to have little fishes. Which never happened. And they both died. Sniff. But...we weren't in the Pet Centre to purchase fish, or anything fish related (well, that's not strictly true, but I'm getting to that). In fact, we were there to buy our cat some food (ironic, I know), though not necessarily the fishy kind. Phew. Yep, a few treats and denta-something-or-others, and we were done in the snug Pet Centre. Yep, it's nearly as teeny tiny as those fish, and me at once stage, but it's crammed full of everything... Including fish.
