With the…read morestay-at-home orders the weeks are long, the days blur together, and it's hard to find motivation to work out. Stacey's positivity is infectious and I look forward to her class every week. It's challenging (in a good way!) and gets the heart racing. I have more energy and feel rejuvenated after. It's a great way to relieve stress.

Stacey has a wide range of options for me...cardio, strength, pilates, yoga, stretch, frankly if I name it, she either has it or creates it - and I'm amazed at Stacey's mastery of it all. I also think what makes Stacey different from other online or in person experiences for me is her excitement about conquering the session together. Stacey is super flexible and takes personal responsibility to help me succeed. I've had to make adjustments to our scheduled time given all the surprises popping up on my calendar, and she has worked with me to find the time, removing obstacles or excuses to skip working out. Definitely keeps me coming back for more. If you're trying to get exercise - movement - or peace of mind that you're taking care of yourself to fit in your life, I highly recommend making Stacey your partner.

I've seen Liz on and off for several years for shiatsu massage which actually has significantly helped with my asthma. Now that I have begun my nursing career, I find shiatsu to be a great addition to help avoid muscle injury and fatigue. Liz is also a licensed physical therapist and incorporates her training and experience in PT into her shiatsu practice. Liz is down-to-earth and friendly and happy to chat with you during your session or respect your preference for silence. She doesn't use any offensive, scented oils or lotions in her practice and you get to keep your clothes on! She makes sure to check in with you to ask about pain throughout the treatment. Her fee is very reasonable in my opinion - $90 for one hour. You pay Liz directly for scheduling and payment so there is no having to deal with the Becoming Center as a middle-man. The space she uses is warm and relaxing and comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone who is interested in finding an experienced shiatsu practitioner not connected to a spa.

I went to True Wellness in Montgomery County around 2013, during a very difficult period in my…read morelife. At the time, I was struggling with worsening panic attacks and was taking Cymbalta and Zoloft, but I didn't feel like I was thriving. My mother had been referred to Ian Kennedy by a friend, and after having a positive experience, she asked whether she could bring me in as well. He was open to working with me, and I decided to give his approach a chance. For me, exploring a different approach was meaningful. I eventually made changes to my treatment with appropriate guidance, and I also became more willing to make changes to my diet and lifestyle as another way of supporting my well-being. I remember being surprised by some of the improvements I personally experienced, including changes I noticed in my blood sugar. Looking back, I'm grateful that I was willing to try something different during a challenging chapter of my life. That experience became one part of a much longer journey of growth and discovering what I was capable of. Today, I am a published children's book author. My book, Knowledge Crystals, has received a five-star rating, and becoming a published author is something I'm very proud of. I can't say True Wellness is responsible for where I am today, but I can say that my experience there was meaningful to me and helped me think differently about my well-being at a time when I really needed a new perspective. My experience is personal and may not be the same for everyone. If someone is considering changing medications or treatment, I strongly encourage them to speak with a qualified mental health professional or doctor, and to make medication decisions with appropriate medical guidance. I'm grateful for the people who helped me along the way and for how far I've come since 2013.
