After visiting the Corn Palace, be sure to visit Grounded before heading down the road! Hubby and I were in an RV adventure last year, and rule #1 was NO CHAIN RESTAURANTS. I love visiting local coffee shops. One of my fave things to do while traveling. Grounded is a little drive up kiosk stationed in a parking lot. You don't even get out of your car - my favorite! We had the Andes Mint latte and Almond Joy. Great coffees! Perfectly sweet. Nice lady inside. We would definitely revisit again in the future. read more

This place is truly awesome. Not only is it one of the smallest coffee houses I've ever seen, which is cool, but the owners are the nicest people you could meet and the coffee is great! Don't stop by this town without visiting this place. You'll be looking for an Orange Shed in the parking lot. Prices are a little high for the region, but the owner is hospitable, and it's the only decent coffee right off of I-90 in the Mitchell, South Dakota area. There are not many places to stop. For a few years, one had to drive all over town to find anything above swill-grade coffee in Mitchell. Glad to support a local small business--so it's worth a stop if you need decent coffee quickly while traversing I-90. read more
